Detrás de un desafío personal siempre se esconden muchos objetivos y hoy ha sido uno de esos días en los que he querido cumplir y superar uno muy especial: el dominio de la full planche en barra. Aunque a veces uno no se siente con esas energías al cien por ciento, es gratificante ver cómo cada intento y cada acercamiento a ese objetivo me hacen creer que nada es difícil, porque en realidad no lo es. Cada día que voy a este parque, que me llena de una vibra positiva increíble, siento que estoy más cerca, y cada día que mis compañeros me apoyan y me incentivan a creer en mí mismo, me acerco todavía más. Todo esto me ha llevado a entender que lograr algo simplemente significa intentarlo una y otra vez.
Behind a personal challenge, there are always many goals, and today was one of those days when I wanted to accomplish and surpass a very special one: mastering the full planche on the bar. Although sometimes you don't feel 100% energized, it's gratifying to see how each attempt and each step closer to that goal makes me believe that nothing is difficult, because in reality, it isn't. Every day I go to this park, which fills me with an incredible positive vibe, I feel closer, and every day my teammates support me and encourage me to believe in myself, I get even closer. All of this has led me to understand that achieving something simply means trying again and again.
¿Y por qué les cuento esto?
Porque pienso que muchas personas que entrenamos calistenia en algún momento perdemos la convicción, sobre todo cuando no conseguimos rápido los objetivos que nos planteamos. He visto a demasiados chicos que dejan el deporte a un lado por falta de decisión o por no tomar la iniciativa, incluso aunque no sea el momento más emocionante. Nos han acostumbrado a creer que hacer deporte es solo un gusto o una obligación, como si dependiera de si quiero o si tengo que hacerlo, cuando en realidad es mucho más que eso.

Yo pienso que salir a entrenar, además de ser saludable y de ser algo que nos apasiona, es una decisión clara de querer hacerlo y de dar un paso adelante. Y en este día quiero transmitirles estas palabras que quizás puedan servirles como ancla para entrar en el camino deportivo, para darse cuenta de que todo se puede lograr. Hablo desde mi experiencia y desde mi edad, porque ya no soy un niño: estoy a pocos días de cumplir 36 años y puedo decir con certeza que todo está en querer, en intentar, en volver a intentar y en no dejar de hacerlo.

Al final de ese camino siempre habrá una luz que uno logra encontrar después de recorrer cada paso. Espero que estas palabras los motiven y los impulsen a seguir avanzando en este gran camino del deporte, de la disciplina y de la determinación. And why am I telling you this? Because I think many of us who train calisthenics lose conviction at some point, especially when we don't quickly achieve the goals we set for ourselves. I've seen too many kids give up on the sport due to a lack of determination or a lack of initiative, even when it's not the most exciting moment. We've been trained to believe that exercising is merely a pleasure or an obligation, as if it depends on whether we want to or have to do it, when in reality, it's much more than that.

I believe that going out to train, in addition to being healthy and something we're passionate about, is a clear decision to want to do it and to take a step forward. And on this day, I want to share these words with you that may serve as an anchor for you to embark on your athletic journey, to realize that anything can be achieved. I speak from my experience and from my age, because I'm no longer a child: I'm just a few days away from turning 36, and I can say with certainty that it's all about wanting it, trying, trying again, and never giving up.
