Here is my contribution to BeerSaturday 428 with a IPA brewed by Herman in Quebec. This is Ka Pai. What I like about this brewery is that it offers smaller 355ml bottles, which are perfect for enjoying a quality beer in moderation 😀.

I have reviewed several beers from this brewery. But as a reminder, this craft brewery was launched in 2022 in the Laurentians by four friends, Frédéric Pelletier, John Marcel Tremblay, Louis Morin, and Louis-Philippe Beaudoin Morin, focusing on thirst-quenching, light, and accessible beers. Despite its youth, the brewery already has a good reputation for quality beers. And it's true that everything I've tasted so far has been a success.
Cela fait plusieurs bières que je présente de cette brasserie. Mais pour rappel, cette brasserie artisanale a été lancée en 2022 dans les Laurentides par quatre amis Frédéric Pelletier, John Marcel Tremblay, Louis Morin et Louis-Philippe Beaudoin Morin en se concentrant sur les bières de soif, légères et accessibles. Malgré sa jeunesse, la brasserie a déjà une bonne réputation avec des bières de qualité. Et c'est vrai que tout ce que j'ai gouté pour le moment est réussi.
🍺 Tasting / Dégustation :
KA PAI is an IPA with 6% alcohol, hopped with Motueka and Superdelic, two hops from New Zealand. In the glass, it has a mango color with a light head that disappears quickly. On the palate, it is a very fruity IPA (citrus and tropical fruits). It's a very pleasant and refreshing beer to drink.
La KA PAI est une IPA avec 6% d'alcool houblonnée avec Motueka et Superdelic, deux houblons provenant de Nouvelle Zélande. Dans le verre, on retrouve une robe couleur mangue avec un léger col qui disparait rapidement. En bouche, on a une IPA très fruitée (agrumes et fruits tropicaux). C'est une bière très sympathique et rafraichissante à boire.
Design
The design at Herman is always simple yet classy. This is certainly the case with this can. All the information is clearly displayed. And the name Ka Pai means “it's good” or “everything is fine” in Māori, perfect for highlighting the New Zealand origin of the hops used in the creation of this beer.
Le design chez Herman est toujours simple mais classe. C'est le cas sur cette canette. On retrouve directement toutes les informations. Et le nom Ka Pai veut dire en māori "c'est bien" ou "tout va bien", parfait pour souligner la provenance de Nouvelle Zélande des houblons utilisés dans la conception de cette bière.
