For several years now, the restaurant Onoir in Montreal has had a program for artists called OnoArt that allows artists to create their works on three of the restaurant's windows. The restaurant's concept is to eat in complete darkness, so the windows are boarded up. What better way to let artists express their creativity than to let them decorate the windows?

Depuis quelques années, le restaurant Onoir à Montréal a un programme pour les artistes OnoArt qui permet à des artistes de réaliser leurs oeuvres sur trois fenêtres du restaurant. Car en effet, le concept est de manger dans le noir complet donc les fenêtres sont barricadées. Quoi de mieux que de laisser aux artistes leur décoration.

On the corner of Prince-Arthur and De Bullion streets in Montreal, on the wall of the restaurant O'Noir which offers a menu in total darkness, hence the barricaded windows.

Au coin des rues Prince-Arthur et De Bullion à Montréal, sur le mur du restaurant O'Noir qui offre un menu dans l’obscurité totale d'ou les fenêtres barricadées.

Yap & Aks

This is the first time I've seen these two Colombian artists Yap and Aks. The first created the fiery lettering at the bottom, and Aks created this very realistic cat. Beautiful work... I like this restaurant's initiative to invite artists who are passing through town. It allows us to discover other styles, other cultures.

C'est la première fois que je vois ces deux artistes colombiens Yap et Aks. Le premier a réalisé le lettrage en feu en bas et Aks, ce chat très réaliste. Beau travail... J'aime bien l'initiative de ce restaurant d'inviter des artistes qui sont de passage en ville. On découvre d'autres styles, d'autres cultures.

Charbel Abuxapqui

Charbel Abuxapqui, a Mexican surrealist artist, painted a new work on the same window. You can see the previous version in the first photo of this post or visit the post StreetArt #720. This mural is called Aimer Librement (Love Freely), and it's really cool how the big bee is bringing a bouquet of flowers to this character. So cute...

Charbel Abuxapqui, artiste surréaliste méxicain a peint une nouvelle oeuvre sur la même fenêtre. Cette murale se nomme Aimer Librement, vraiment cool la sorte de grosse abeille apportant un bouquet de fleurs à ce personnage.

Fruity Vivi, Lena & Ambrenbre + Lorenia Miranda, Kimana & Aldarwin

At the beginning of July, the cat disappears to make way for lush vegetation created by Fruity Vivi, a Montreal artist (whom I am discovering), Lena and Ambrenbre, an artist and graphic designer. In fact, this is the first time I've seen the work of these three artists on the street.

Au début du mois de juillet, le chat disparait pour laisser placer à une végétation luxuriante réalisée par Fruity Vivi, une artiste montréalaise (je la découvre), Lena et Ambrenbre, artiste et graphiste. En fait, c'est la première fois que je vois le travail de ses trois artistes dans la rue.

Then, on the side, the heart was done by Lorenia Miranda, a Mexican artist, with the help of Kimana, an illustrator based in Montreal, and finally an artist you should know, often present at the Legal Wall de Rouen Aldarwin. It's always interesting to see the result when several artists participate in the same work.
Which window is your favorite?

Puis sur le côté, le coeur a été réalisé par Lorenia Miranda, une artiste mexicaine avec l'aide de Kimana, une illustratrice basée à Montréal et enfin un artiste que vous devez connaitre, souvent préset au Mur Légal de Rouen Aldarwin.C'est toujours intéressant de voir le résultat quand plusieurs artistes participent à la même oeuvre.
