Ian McKellen announced that he and Frodo will return for a film with Gollum. Filming will begin in May, and the film will debut on December 17, 2027. I don't have high expectations for this film; I'll watch it out of curiosity. Andy Serkis hasn't exactly shown himself well as a director, but he can handle CGI acting, which isn't always obvious. We received one of four shorts, which shows how Krypto works. The rest will be available on DVD/BD, which debuts on September 23rd.
