Greetings friends, I hope you are very well.
I'm here to tell you how was a sporty afternoon with my son.
Well I tell you that I dared to take my son to the mountain where I do my exercises, I had not dared before because to be honest I was afraid, the hyperactivity of Mathias coupled with his condition does not allow him that regulation to stay calm when instructed, where to have that predisposition to danger when it is near.
However, I decided to take the risk, I know that he needs to get out of the house to do more of these types of activities.
To take him and get him to climb the whole mountain, which is 1.5 km long, I told him that there was a park at the top of the mountain. I told him that there was a park at the top (which is not a lie) but it was a way to encourage him, so we got ready and went to the right place.
Before starting to climb I told him that he should not let go of my hand, that we were going to climb slowly to reach the park and enjoy, I was also telling him that he had to behave well and pay attention, at all times he told me yes 😅.
We climbed slowly, we stopped to rest a couple of times for him to drink water and finally we got to the longed park, he got on every space and enjoyed it, he interacted with other children who were there, he enjoyed the slide and the swings, unfortunately we lasted a short time, Unfortunately we did not last long, because when I noticed the mountains, I could see a dark cloud that indicated that it was going to rain, to go down it was a little difficult, because as every child the only thing he wanted was to stay playing, however I could convince him and we went down so that the rain did not take us by surprise in the mountain.
On the way back I held him tighter because it is a somewhat steep descent, and I was afraid that he would fall, in fact when we were on the way, a man was jogging and stumbled, he fell badly and broke his jaw a little, I could not help him at all because he was with the child, however I gave him a handkerchief that was in my bag because he was bleeding a lot.
Our afternoon was fun, Mathias was fascinated with the mountain and with his stay at the park for a while, now he asks me every day if we are going to go 😅
I know that Mathias needs more exercise, I have looked for activities where they accept children with Autism, but the two that have given me positive answers make me think, since in both the spaces are very open and are on main roads, I really panic that Mathias will escape and I won't have a chance to catch him, however I will keep looking until I find a place that at least is not on a main road and that there are not so many cars passing by.
