I was thrilled when I learned about the Christmas party with my co-Hivers. As we grow older, we attend fewer celebrations like this, so I'm excited to attend this one. Who else loves Christmas parties?
The venue for the **Hive Cebu - Christmas Party 2023** is in **Sacaan Tropical Breeze Resort, Tabunok, Sogod, Northern Cebu, Philippines**. I am so thrilled because it’s my first time to visit the place. We will be having a Hawaiian-themed Christmas Party.
We arrived at around nine thirty in the morning. This is what the outside of the resort looks like.
Wow! The sea is calling. As soon as I arrived, I felt so excited to see the wonderful view overlooking the towns of northern Cebu.
We then went in. We parked our motorcycle in the designated parking area.
We also helped my mother @missbebeth unload a tray of oranges she bought for everyone.
We then went to the venue where our party is set to be celebrated. It was located at their function hall with a beachfront view. How magical. Here is what our venue looks like.
All thanks to miss @indayclara , sir @ybanezkim26 and to all our Hive Cebu onboarders and organizers who chose this resort and organized and prepared everything for everyone. There were so many prizes.
For the first order of business, once you arrive in the venue, you need to fill out the registration form and they will give you a name tag with your Hive username. At the back part of your name tag is your designated name for the exchanging gift. What an exciting twist.
I got my name tag with my username in it and I submitted my gift with the corresponding unique code name of the person who will receive it. We all have our own unique code names that @indayclara prepared for all of us. All she provided us was code names and the wishlist of the people we got, but we literally have no idea who we are giving the gifts to or who we are receiving the gifts from. Exchanging gifts during Christmas parties is indeed so much fun.
I got a gift for **Good Witch** and I definitely have no idea who the **Good Witch** is. Her wishlist includes : White rubber shoes, Black Jeans or Bag. I got her a pair of black jeans.
The program then began and it was hosted by @callmesmile .
To begin with, everyone had the chance to flaunt their attires. It was sampled by @indayclara everyone has to do the way she does.

We decided to show off our outfits by walking in front of the crowd and posing at the middle. Although I was hesitant at first, I was able to push past my discomfort. Here are some snapshots of my co-Hivers rocking their Hawaiian-themed attire. We're definitely ready to party.

Everyone dressed up in their best Hawaiian attire for today’s Christmas party. The Hiver who had the best attire of the day would be declared the winner. After flaunting the attires, we were asked to form groups of five for the caroling contest. Although it was an impromptu event, we managed to perform well and had a great time socializing with our co-Hivers.
This activity really measures how creative and talented the Hivers are. We managed to prepare presentations in a short span of preparation time. We never say no to challenges. We embrace them gracefully.
For today’s Christmas party, I and @iamgagz09 are the designated **Game Masters** and we performed the first game which was to blow the balls using the party whistle horns.
We had two sets of players and the winners were @hanyabee and @missbebeth who both won Hive t-shirts as their prizes.

It was also time to award the best-dressed participants.
@apieceofgwyn won the Best Hawaiian Outfit award and she got a Hive t-shirt. The other chosen people won some chocolates as consolation prizes. Not only are the Hivers talented, creative and best in blogging, but also, fashionably chic!
It was then time for lunch.
Foods were catered by the resort and it was a solid ten out of ten. What a sumptuous lunch we all had.
It was time to do **Exchanging Gifts**. But since we all have no idea who the people we are giving gifts are, or who are we receiving our gifts from, @indayclara had a fun idea for us to describe who could our *manita* or *manito* be based on their wishlist. It was so much fun doing a guessing game. We did not opened our gifts yet once we got it and we opened it altogether.
It is undeniably evident on everyone's faces that we all had so much fun. It brings everyone so much joy being able to socialize and get to know our co-Hviers even more.
To my surprise, @indayclara was the one who got my name and I was given a strange code name which was **Dream Girl**.
I could only remember the day when @indayclara reached out to me to ask three things for my wish list. I had nothing much in mind, I only responded to her and said *”I only want a Hive t-shirt sized extra large. I have nothing much in mind and got no other wish list.”* I was so happy to open my gift and see that @indayclara gave me two Hive t-shirts. It made me so happy. Here is what I got.
@indayclara and @ybanezkim26 gave everyone a **Hive tote bag** and these are the two Hive t-shirts I got. Happy heart indeed! Thank you so much to our generous leaders.

It was such a fun and memorable experience. Being able to meet and greet people who’ve blogs you just read, are surreal. It makes me happy to be able to socialize with these amazing people.
The fun does not end there. We then dipped in the pool. It was such a perfect way to end the day.
