LAC Session With Our SHS Guidance Designate

 **LAC Sessions** are one of the learning sessions we always look forward the most. It is the time we gather around to discuss important matters - may it be curriculum wise or school matters. **LAC** stands for **Learning Action Cell** and these sessions happen every once in a while to address several school concerns.  Our Senior High School Master Teacher 1 and Guidance Designate is the master og ceremony in this LAC Session and this session is intended for all of us Senior High School teachers. This is the rationale for today's LAC Session.  It is a fact that here in Tuburan National High School, we are currently experiencing one of the biggest problems of any mother school : the lack of classrooms. The population of Tuburan National High School both Junior High School and Senior High School totals to a rough estimate of about 170 teachers and a total of approximately 5,000 learners. But with little classrooms, it is one of the biggest problems since in every classroom there are almost more than 60 learners. There are even two to three teachers in one classroom. We do not have a faculty room for us teachers. We have been appealing to the government to secure more classrooms for our institution because we need it the most. It would be such a great help if granted our needs. As for us teachers, it is really hard to handle a lot of learners in one classroom setting. There is also a scarcity of classroom resources such as tables and chairs. Learners do not have separate chairs with arm chairs, rather they are seated in long tables with chairs just if they are attending a birthday party. It is not conducive to learning as they are not seated separately - chances are they cannot focus well. Us teachers do not have a faculty room also. It seems like every day is classroom observation day. There is always that one teacher who seats at the back part of the room while you discuss. We also do not have a school library where it can also be an option for teachers to stay whenever they have vacant schedules. Lack of classrooms is really a big challenge. It is just one of the many important topics we discussed and some I won't be sharing due to confidentiality.  We then had a 15-minute health break and we spent it taking photos with our co-teachers and colleagues.  After the **LAC SESSION** is the giving of certificates of appreciation to the speakers and the working committee. Here are our hardworking committee.    It was another day and another chance to learn new things and refreshed of what we already know about. LAC Sessions are really essential to improve plans and provide actions to possible problems.
