TNHS New-Hire Welcome Dinner

 It is our extreme pride and happiness that we finally have another addition in our Technical Vocational Strand Department here in our work place at Tuburan National High School, Tuburan, Cebu, Philippines. Our new colleague is from Bantayan Island and he just started work yesterday. We are happy that he is in the TVL Strand which is an addition to our department and our friend group. We decided to have a little welcome dinner for him to be held at the house where we are currently renting here in Tuburan. For the first order of business, we went to *Goldilocks* a famous store that sells cakes and pastries. We want to have some dessert after our dinner. Here are the cake choices available at *Goldilocks* when we went to the store. Their cakes are good-tasting and they are sold for a friendly price also.             We really had a hard time choosing which cake to buy but we ended up with a leche flan since we were all craving for it also. After we got the goods secured, we then went to **Tuburan Public Market** to buy fresh meat for grilling. We need to buy some fish and chicken.   We bought this fish for ₱400 per kilo and it was all for one and one half kilogram in total. We then went home so my partner can prepare for our dinner.   We first prepared this cucumber-tomato snack that we dipped into vinegar with sugar and some chili. It was such a delightful snack and it made us feel refreshed while waiting for our dinner. After almost thirty minutes, it was time for dinner. These are all the foods my partner cooked for us.    The foods were perfectly cooked and it was seasoned well. We enjoyed our dinner as it was paired with rice as our staple food. After our dinner, we had our leche flan for dessert. **TIME FOR SOME GROUP PICTURES!**   The man seated at the middle is the new-hire. We welcome him with open arms and we are delighted he has joined us here at Tuburan National High School. He did not have any apartment yet so I let him sleep in our room for a night to get him settled. He brought all his clothes and things and packed it in a bag and placed it on a motorcycle. On the morning, he finally got an apartment so he took all his things with him and we helped him settle at his new place. I did not had any second thoughts on welcoming him into our home since I know the feeling of being a stranger into a place you are unfamiliar with and it is such a relief to have people who will help you. We will be closely working with each other for the next days and we are excited to have him on board with us. To new friends and new beginnings! Ciao! ❤️
