Tuburan District 1 Second District LAC Session

 Tuburan District 1 helds another LAC or Learning Action Cell, where all important matters are to be discussed. Every time we have LAC Sessions, we always look forward to hearing good news and bright ideas. The LAC session is held at our makeshift building here in Tuburan National High School where all the schools under Tuburan District 1 is required to join. Not only does LAC Sessions open doors for new ideas and new beginnings for our district but it also paves way to us meeting and knowing all our other colleagues since we are under on This is our program for **Tuburan District 1 Second LAC Session**    We arrived at school around 7:40 am for the LAC Session will begin at 8:00 am and end at 5:00 pm. We are seated at the middle part of the makeshift building where I sit beside my closest colleagues.   As per 7:50 am, little by little, the teachers from different schools under Tuburan District 1 came in and the venue is almost full. **OPENING STATEMENT** by Tuburan National High School's School Principal 1  Our school principal of Tuburan National High School welcomed everyone with his opening speech where he set the mood of the entire LAC session. He welcome everyone especially the different schools under Tuburan District 1. Next is the **Roll Call** by the school principal by Lusong National High School. Each schools stood while saying their yell.    The LAC Session proper began. The first speaker is the school head of Kalangahan National High School, Kalangahan, Tuburan, Cebu, Philippines. He discussed about the DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION's ARAL Program which aims Junior High School Teachers to remediate learners having a hard time reading and comprehending.   There are also question and answer portions where in there are indeed a lot of new learnings and refreshers that were discussed. Next is the **District Research and Innovation Coordinator Updates** by my colleague who has an expertise in Research.    He discussed so many factors and updates about our research-making in the entire district of Tuburan 1. He showcased the initiatives of Tuburan National High School: **Project REAP**, **Project BANGKA**, **PALUGAW SAYO SA KABUNTAGON**, and **1st TNHS RESEARCH CONGRESS.**  Next speaker for our LAC Session is our Master Teacher I and SHS Coordinator to discuss about the TVL UPDATES.    Next is a representative from RCBC Bank to discuss about their HMO Program. Teachers are now given ₱7,000 allocated for our HMO.   It is really important that the government finally allocated some budget for our health-care, this year 2025 finally marks a large break through in public school teaching as we really feel more valued. As public school teachers, it is our first time to finally get allocated with a budget for our health-care. There was also a question and answer portion between us and RCBC representatives.  Some basic questions were • How much is their plan? • What hospitals are accredited in their plan? • What are the reimbursement procedures? • Who are capable dependents? It was such a knowledge-filled discussion. I love that I learned new information today. We had a fifteen minute health break. Seated on our respective areas, we took group photos with my closest colleagues.  It was such a productive day indeed! Thankful for all the good news we heard today. Ciao! ❤️
