Helloy dear Hivers from @lifestyle community. How have you been? I hope you're all well and safe.

Today is kind of extra productive day. Aside from having a class I had some other activities done for my learners. In the morning after my two class periods, it's recess time. Which I prepared a milk drink for my learners. It's paired with a nutri bun from the Department of Education.

In the afternoon, after lunch I arranged the school supplies my school head sent to my room. These are purchases from our recent school Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses or we just simply call MOOE.

Inside a plastic portfolio are school supplies like a clear book. This will be used to store student's outputs. There are also crayons, pencils, a pad of paper, scissor and ruler inside.

Children said it lacks a sharpener so our school head ordered our Administrative Officer II to purchase enough of it for all the learners of our school. May be tomorrow we can give it to them.

Also, our class has not received notebooks yet which are just in the school head's office. Tomorrow it will also be given. But other grade levels were already distributed with it.

When I gave it to the learners, their smiles can't be hidden. And that soft whisper of thank you, ma'am is just heartwarming. Even if it's s not from me really but because I was the one who handed it to them I felt happy for them.

I just felt happy that even from my previous school we have this kind of initiative to give a little to our learners from the schools budget. Because as far as I know, not all schools do this. And it's really one of the best things to give to students. The community that these learners live is one of the less fortunate.

There's not much of livelihood for the residents. Learners come to school sometimes without a lunch with them and no snacks for recess. But I'm amazed by the perseverance of my learners to come to school despite those hardships.

Learners really are thankful for all these school supplies given to them. It's not always they can afford to have these on their own. So this is a good way of making education really inclusive for all. And just like the department's goal, "no students left behind".

So many extra things to do from being a teacher, but it always give me a reason to be thankful for having this job. To witness happiness from simple joys of my learners. This noble job is something I'll always be proud of.

That's all for today. Thanks for reading this far. Til my next post!
