Hello to all the Hivers of the motherhood community! I hope you're all doing well and are safe.
Last Sunday, after church it has again a power outage in our community. My husband and I decided to go to our neighboring town to kill boredom and to do groceries at the same time because it costs less there when shopping.
When we finished doing the groceries, we headed to our favorite spot to breath some fresh air.
We actually had to climb about fifty steps to climb up the hill overlooking the town. I forgot to take shots of the stairs heading to the hill.
Up the hill there's a small ground where people stay. There are trees around that keeps the place shady from the heat of the sun.
As I sat from a shady tree, I can't help but look at my daughter with a grateful heart. I thank God for my beautiful daughter.
During this time, I saw how she enjoyed the simplicity of the view. Just the trees and the overlooking view of the town. She looks amazed and contented.
So I took the chance to take photos of her enjoying the scenery. She pick some dried leaves, she run around, even tried to catch a butterfly. Looking at her I felt recharged as a mother. I have raised a fine daughter.
A small part of me is also feeling anxious. She's growing too fast for me. She is now attending school at a child development center near my new station. Sometimes she choose what clothes to wear, and I felt her growing since of responsibility.
When we come home she would immediately change her clothes and arrange our messy bed. She arranges her toys specially her collection of stuffed toys that easily becomes messy because it is beside our bed where her younger brother is usually placed. Sometimes she volunteers to make her brother's formula milk which we allow but with our guidance. She also volunteers to look after her younger brother when I have something else to do.
The maturity I saw in her as the days go by makes me so proud of her. I love the growth and maturity in her, but she is now like a grown up and I'm missing the baby I used to carry in my arms.
How time flies so fast. I hope you enjoyed reading my blog and I hope you're all doing well. Thank you for reading this far. 'Til my next post!
