Hello my dear Hivers from the @dailyblog community. I hope you're all well and safe.

Today I want to share with you one of the activities our school participated in the month of October. A day before this activity our school head already informed us about it.

He assigned each of us (me and my co-teachers) for the different roles that we will do for the said activity. One was assigned in the layout of the paper tarp to be used as a banner. One is assigned to teach children the proper hand washing while I was assigned to do the photo documentation of the activity. One of my co-teachers was on-leave during that day and the other one is having a hard time walking.

So while one of my co-teachers modeled how to properly clean the learners hands, I took my time in taking the photos. Since In need to be in the photo as well we asked one of the learners to take our photos.

Children enjoyed washing their hands. Often their hands are really dirty because they play mostly outside the classrooms. And if you can see their soil is reddish. It's color really sticks in their skins and in their clothes.

So this global handwashing activity is really timely for these learners. It really give them the knowledge how to properly clean their hands specially after playing outside. So they won't contract germs and viruses easily.

The children take turns in washing their hands as our handwashing facility is not that big. It can only accommodate a few of them using it simultaneously. We spent about 30 minutes and all the children present finished washing their hands.

Having enough photos and a little bit of chitchat with the children's experiences in the activity made the event more meaningful. Surely we'll have this same activity next year, but we intend to do it as often as children are exposed to dirt and germs everyday.

That's all for today. Thanks for reading this far. Til my next post!
