Hello my dear Hivers from the @hiveph community. I hope you're all well and safe. Specially that the typhoon Tino struck our beloved country the Philippines.
I just want to share with you a little foodie treat I cooked last night for my family while the typhoon continues to rock our way. I thought of cooking pancit as it symbolizes long life.
Hehe, it's not something really special menu for dinner, yes. I've actually been meaning to have it since yesterday but we were not able to have it because we prepared some other menu as my elder sister who already went back to Davao for her work doesn't like pancit.
So herl I am cooking pancit after she went back to work. I prepared the pancit miki, then sliced the onions and garlic, and a bit of bell pepper from our garden and slices of chicken meat.
First I let the chicken meat for a minute in the hot pan so it's oil will come out. Then after a while, I added oil then followed the onions and garlic. Put on some soy sauce, seasoning, and salt to taste. When the sauce is boiling, I put the pancit and mixed it altogether with the sauce.
I let it stay for a while then added the sliced bell pepper when it's cooked. Then I removed from the pan into a casserole. And it's ready to eat!
Pancit is my favorite that's why I like cooking it. It's simple and easy to cook. But I think it's everyone's favorite, too haha.
Although the wind and rain keeps on coming, we still thank God for keeping us safe while eating the viand I cooked.
This morning, the sun can be seen already. Also, classes and work suspension were already lifted so everything seemed to go back to normal.
