Process
I've been drawing some portraits lately cos I wanted to experiment on art styles, colors, and digital techniques to have something new to my art. I'm getting quite bored on the non-faces part of my works so I wanted to try some faces again.
Lately, I've been attracted to cute-looking figures (and not the ones that have a natural representation) so I'm trying to incorporate that style in my art. Although I have already explored this style before [as seen here](https://peakd.com/art/@hiddenblade/printing-my-art-and-decorating-my-boring-wall) but I stopped drawing shortly after that so I wasn't really able to feel if I like it or not.
 I found some cute dolls on Pinterest and I used the face as a reference. I didn't really know how to stylize characters since I spent most of my time drawing human figures so I have to learn it through looking at other artists' works. It is a skill that is learned through years of practice and most of the time the artists went through drawing realistic human figures first before learning how to style them. So next time you see someone drawing anime and think it's easy, think again. xD
 After sketching it, I started painting the face as well. I love black and white so I'll stick to that. :D
 I'm really enjoying painting the face and I didn't realize I miss doing it. I've spent so much time doing self portrait photographs and drawings that I eventually got so tired and bored of it that I started covering the faces. I then a lot of time doing that covered-faces thing and now I like drawing them again. :D I also added some blue tint to the skin so it's not just a monotone.
 This is the exciting part. :P I really enjoyed doing makeup recently that it made me miss drawing again. Makeup is really just like painting and it reminded me so much of that... and it just makes sense for me to apply that in my art too.
 I then explored the blending modes and used the liquify tool for the other eye so I can get a sick effect like that. I really like liquify tool haha it's kinda like paint pouring technique. :P I also added a figure on the left since I felt the right side to be too 'heavy' yet I don't know what else to add. :P
 Here's the final drawing. This is a fun exercise for me and it's very freeing to do so. I didn't plan the idea of this one so I had no title to it prior on drawing it so I didn't know how to title it at first. :P But then I started thinking *hell yeah that's the point* so I thought about 3AM thoughts where all of creative ideas come to life. I like this style though, I think I'm keeping it for a while. :D
