I recently went back to training Muay Thai just 2 weeks ago and it reminded me of how much fun I had when I did the first time back in 2018. Compared to other martial arts, I like it the most since I am able to use a lot of my body parts for variation lol. It's called art of the eight limbs for a reason. :D
My goal is only for fitness and fun though, I'm not training to be a fighter, so I don't go to train very often. I also do other workouts in the gym so I need to balance cardio and lifting too.
There's this game called Knockout Home Fitness that lets you exercise while also having scores - kinda like a rhythm game but for fitness. It has Boxing, Kickboxing, and Karate.
In days where I won't train, I think this is a good way for me to keep on moving while also practicing the forms and combos.
There are a lot of course types and levels. As you can see I haven't unlocked them yet. XD
It also keeps track of how much you played in a month so that's a nice feature to have. I only played this quite a few times only so far lol. I guess keeping the Switch docked will remind me to do it. I have both the controllers in my hands while playing. It's also important to adjust the tightness of the band so you won't accidentally throw it (and maybe hit the TV).
I like rhythm games a lot and this game has a similar vibe. There's no song unlike Beat Saber but it has the combos that you would normally encounter while training. You have to time it with them though and that's the challenge. :D
The exercises can get intense especially when you care about the power and the form.
The feeling it gives is like you're shadow boxing except you are playing and keeping scores of the timing. It doesn't give the satisfaction of hitting a bag but it keeps you moving.

It's also important to pay attention to the colors, with the blue representing left and pink representing right. I got confused quite a few times but it gets easier the more you get used to it. :D
In Muay Thai training, there are so many things to pay attention to like the stance, keeping the guard up, proper twisting of your hips when you punch, and footwork. A lot of them I tend to forget and I heavily rely on muscle memory haha so playing this game helps with that. The controllers are pretty accurate too! I think they also programmed the arm movement when you kick so it detects it as such (since there are no controllers on the ankles).

Overall, it's a pretty fun game. I haven't been to the really fast part yet since I need to unlock some challenges first. There are a lot of other fitness games on Switch that I haven't looked into yet so that's something for next time. :D But I really love the fact that I don't need to buy any other controllers or accessories just to play this game (although they exist as well).
## What games do you play for fitness?

I bought a Nintendo Switch 4 years ago and I had some games installed there that involves moving around like Just Dance and Knockout Home Fitness. You can dock the Switch, connect to TV, and use the controllers as sensors for the movements. I think that's one of the fun reasons to have a Switch tbh.
