Today I want to talk about my mini camping adventure that I had this weekend. I have been wanting to go somewhere different lately. I decided to make this tour to Fethiye, a district that I have visited before and liked very much.

Bugün sizlerle hafta sonu yaptığım minik kamp maceramdan bahsetmek istiyorum. Son zamanlarda farklı bir yere gitmeyi çok istiyordum. Bu turu daha önce de seyahat ettiğim ve çok beğendiğim Fethiye ilçesine yapmaya karar verdim.
Fethiye is a magnificent coastal district located on the seashore in Muğla province of Turkey. I was amazed when I came before, but this time my desire to be a little closer to nature prevailed and I decided to stay at a camping area called "My Beach Camping" located on Çalış Beach.
Fethiye, Türkiye’nin Muğla ilinde yer alan, deniz kıyısında konumlanmış muhteşem bir sahil ilçesi. Daha önce geldiğimde de hayran kalmıştım ama bu kez doğaya biraz daha yakın olma isteğim ağır bastı ve Çalış Plajı’nda yer alan "My Beach Camping" adlı bir kamp alanında kalmaya karar verdim.
The first thing that caught my attention when I arrived at the camping area was the colorful flowers and the peaceful atmosphere surrounding it. After setting up my tent, the first thing I did was go down to the beach. I opened the book I brought with me and rested a little while, facing the sea view that stretched as far as the eye could see.
Kamp alanına vardığımda ilk dikkatimi çeken şey, etrafı saran rengarenk çiçekler ve huzurlu atmosfer oldu. Çadırımı kurduktan sonra ilk işim sahile inmek oldu. Göz alabildiğince uzanan deniz manzarası karşısında, yanımda getirdiğim kitabı açtım ve biraz dinlendim.
I returned to the camping area towards sunset. In the evening hours, I had the chance to meet new people and chat by the fire. It felt really good to watch the sky in the late hours of the night, be in the middle of nature and let myself go to the slow flow of time.
Gün batımına doğru kamp alanına döndüm. Akşam saatlerinde ateş başında yeni insanlarla tanışma ve sohbet etme şansı buldum. Gecenin ilerleyen saatlerinde gökyüzünü izlemek, doğanın ortasında olmak ve zamanın yavaş akışına kendimi bırakmak gerçekten çok iyi geldi.
The next morning, I woke up to the sound of nature. After a light breakfast, I went for a walk. I really liked the walking path along Calis Beach, lined with cafes. The smell of the sea, the quiet streets and the gentle breeze on my face… I felt peace with every step.
Ertesi sabah, doğanın sesiyle uyandım. Hafif bir kahvaltının ardından yürüyüşe çıktım. Çalış Plajı boyunca uzanan, sıralı kafelerle çevrili yürüyüş yolu çok hoşuma gitti. Deniz kokusu, sakin sokaklar ve yüzümde hafif bir rüzgâr… Huzuru her adımda hissettim.
The evening at camp was even more enjoyable than I expected. I met people I didn’t know, we had a barbecue and set up a table together.
Kamp akşamı ise tahmin ettiğimden de keyifli geçti. Tanımadığım insanlarla tanıştım, beraber mangal yakıp sofra kurduk.
This warm atmosphere combined with the coolness of the night turned out to be something I had needed for a long time…
Gecenin serinliğiyle birleşen bu sıcak atmosfer, uzun süredir ihtiyaç duyduğum bir şeymiş meğer…
This little getaway was very good for both my soul and my mind. Sometimes, there is something as important as going far away and seeing new places: living in the moment. This weekend camp in Fethiye reminded me of this once again.
Bu küçük kaçamak hem ruhuma hem de zihnime çok iyi geldi. Bazen uzaklara gitmek, yeni yerler görmek kadar önemli olan bir şey var: anı yaşamak. Fethiye'deki bu hafta sonu kampı da bana bunu bir kez daha hatırlattı.
