I've brought some more photos from the Manali-Leh Highway. This highway is very popular among adventure lovers, and people cross it in almost every way, from bus, truck, car, rickshaw, bike, bicycle, and even on foot. I cycled this route, and believe me, I get blackouts while cycling here.

When you have to walk at an altitude of 4800 meters, sometimes your blood pressure drops, causing everything to appear dark. This happened to me several times. But then, when I traveled by bus on this highway, I realized that high altitude plays a role even on buses.

Motion sickness is a common occurrence on the bus, which leads to frequent headaches and vomiting. I mean, how could anyone possibly be disheartened by such spectacular views, when this highway is such that it can easily lead to a bad mood.

There's no greenery here, nor is the altitude low, both of which put this highway in the difficult category. I make sure to travel this highway every year in June, drinking plenty of water each time to avoid the high altitude heat. Let me know what you thought of today's black and white photos in the comments.

This is my entry for #monomad challenge.
