Hello friends, it took me a long time to become a part of this community, and I say this because when I started editing in black and white, I wasn't confident about my editing skills. And even today, I feel I don't edit as well as the users in the #blackandwhite community. Now, I see the posts published by @monochromes every day, which feature such amazing edits that I feel inspired to improve and do better.

I rarely travel to the plains or cities, so I rarely post about the city. I live in the mountains and I love the mountains, so I mostly publish mountain photos. The photos published in today's post were taken this June while I was traveling from Manali to Leh. All of these photos are from the Trans Himalayan Range, and I took them all while standing at the Baralacha La mountain pass.

Seeing the long ridges of snow makes me want to go up there. Whenever I see such landscapes, I'm tempted to reach there, to stand there, to feel the energy. Mount Yunam, a 6,000-meter peak in this range, is a beautiful mountain. I remember summiting this peak in 2020. Looking at these photos always brings me back to that moment.

So that's today's post. The mountains seen in all the photos range from 5,500 meters to 6,500 meters. These mountains are covered in snow year-round; the photos you're seeing are all summer photos. You can imagine how much snow there is here in winter. By the way, this highway is closed in winter, so no one can come or go. That's all for today. We'll meet again in the next post. Until then, have fun and keep smiling.

This is my entry for #monomad challenge.
