Namaste, Bhakto! Today is the 7th day of Navratri, and I am writing about Maa Katyayani, the sixth incarnation of Navdurga. This year, according to our Hindu calendar, the Panchami Tithi extended over two days, the 5th and 6th. Based on this Tithi, I consider today to be dedicated to the worship of Maa Devi Katyayani.
Maa Katyayani embodies three energies: creative, protective, and destructive, each derived from the gods Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesha(Shiva), respectively. Her purpose is to eliminate evil forces on Earth, particularly the powerful demon Mahishasura, who was unruly and difficult for the gods to control. Her incarnation to destroy Mahishasura. She is armed with weapons bestowed upon her by all the deities; Her fierce appearance is destroying negative energies. She provides us strength and courage, justice, empowerment, and protection. Guide us in spiritual awareness. May Maa bless us with her love to make us strong and powerful. 🙏🌺🙏
