Hello friends, food lovers, and community greetings.Hope all of you are doing well and having a good time with your dears and nears. Today, our Saturday, we were out exploring some adventure and came home late. we were hungry, so I wanted to make a very quick, simple, but delicious dinner, and you know how much I love to share a tutorial with all of you.
It is simple Indian regular food, including Curried Brinjal and Chapati/flatbread.
Ingredients:
1 medium-sized brinjal
4 potatoes
1 tomato
1 sivri mild spicy paprika.
1 big branch of coriander.
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp garam masala
2 tbsp grated coconut
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp salt
Clean and chop all vegetables in appropriate sizes and shapes
In a hot pan, pour 1 tbsp oil
Add mustard and cumin seeds.
When seeds started popping
Add chopped onion and stir well.
When the onion changes color, add garam masala and turmeric.
Stir it continuously for a minute,
Add chopped potatoes and brinjal
Stir to get them well-coated with the spice.
Add paprika/sivri, and tomato
Stir well with potatoes and brijal.
add salt
Add 1 glass of water, ca.200ml. It can be less or more according to how thick the gravy you like. cover and cook
after 2 minutes, add coconut and coriander. cover and cook until all vegetables are soft.
and it's done.
Making chapati in 2 cups of whole grain flour, and 1/2 tsp salt, add approx. 200ml water gradually, make a soft dough. Keep aside for around 5 minutes. I do this while cooking vegetables or curry, and after the vegetables get ready start making chapatis.
I divided the dough into 8 portions and form them into round balls. if you want to make smaller chapatis you can make 10-12 portions.
using a rolling pin. start rolling them one by one, dusting some flour to prevent sticking
Cook them one by one, brushing a little oil on both sides
And chapatis are ready
serve with a salad to make a complete meal for a hungry heart. Thank you, see you soon. Take care :)
