Hello, friends, and greetings to the community! Today, I would like to share my experience walking around the town of Kongsberg.

Kongsberg was once famous for its silver mine, which played a key role in the country’s economy in the past. Today, the town is also known for its large weapon manufacturing industry. Big cultural center and ski sports center.

The main highways include E134, which runs east to west through Kongsberg and connects to the E18 leading to Oslo, as well as Norwegian national road 40 (Riksvei 40), which travels north to south. When we drive from our town to Kongsberg, we usually take Riksvei 40. We’ve passed through Kongsberg many times, but it was my first visit to the town after exploring the silver mine that I wrote the post about silver mine.

This time, we explored the other side of the Numedalslågen River. The warm summer sun shone beautifully on the Gamlebrufossen and Våpenfabrikkfossene waterfalls.

When you’re new to a town and driving a car, it’s always best to check the parking situation. Otherwise, you may return to find a penalty ticket on your windshield. It took us some time to find a suitable parking spot.

Because of the summer, the water level was a little low. But I like to take photos. But it was very high last time.

The historic town center in Kongsberg features various functions, including a university of technology, a public library, cinemas, municipal offices, a theater, and a youth center. Maybe next time we will be able to find the working day for it and the time for us to explore it. For now, I stop here
thank you
