Estaba listo para salir de mi residencia en Boa Vista, Roraima, Brasil. Mi propósito es cambiar de ambiente y visitar el sector donde moran mis amigos. > This story is the result of an invitation to my friend Samuel's birthday party, a very special event in my life. I was ready to leave my residence in Boa Vista, Roraima, Brazil. My goal was to change my surroundings and visit the area where my friends live. Eran las tres y media de la tarde. La esposa de Samuel me esperaba con el almuerzo, pero el intenso calor del Norte de Brasil me impide salir más temprano. Espero a que bajara un poco los 38 grados. Al salir a la calle, sentí el denso vapor de aire caliente. Busqué el ómnibus en la avenida. Utilizo el servicio de transporte puntual de la ciudad y me bajo cerca de la dirección de mis amistades. > It was half past three in the afternoon. Samuel's wife was waiting for me with lunch, but the intense heat of northern Brazil prevented me from leaving earlier. I waited for the temperature to drop a little from 38 degrees Celsius. When I went out onto the street, I felt the dense vapor of hot air. I looked for the bus on the avenue. I used the city's punctual transport service and got off near my friends' address. El nieto, como tiene que ser, estaba acostado en la cama del cuarto con un videojuego. Se organizaron las sillas para que todos se ubicaran frente a la casa. Escuché destapar las primeras latas de cerveza brasilera. El ambiente musical estaba dominado por el ritmo caribeño. De inmediato, cumplí con las funciones de atender a los invitados. Ese es mi papel de atender al cumpleañero y los fieles convidados de esta festividad. > The first guests were in the living room. Se cortó y se distribuyó la deliciosa torta de chocolate, con un sabor que no me empalaga el paladar de azúcar, la acompaña el exquisito quesillo. ¡Un postre especial! Fue maravilloso compartir entre amigos y familiares de mi amigo Samuel y su esposa Mavy. > The long-awaited moment arrived: singing the Venezuelan happy birthday song. Emotions were concentrated in the chorus of family happiness. With this gathering, another year of Samuel's happy and productive life has been completed. The delicious chocolate cake was cut and distributed, with a flavor that did not overwhelm my palate with sugar, accompanied by the exquisite quesillo cheese. A special dessert!
