Aunque este fenómeno natural es habitual para el Orinoco, esta vez ha superado lo esperado, impactando a los habitantes de sus riberas a lo largo de los llanos. Armado con mi optimismo y mi celular para capturar cada momento, aproveché la tarde para recorrer las calles de Caicara del Orinoco, el lugar que me vio crecer. Mientras algunas calles todavía permanecen secas, otras ya están sumergidas, creando un espectáculo visual único. La vida en el pueblo se adapta a esta nueva realidad, y el ambiente es vibrante. La gente celebra la abundancia, y la calle se llena de vida. Con tan solo $5, puedes conseguir hasta 5 kilos de pescado fresco, ¡un verdadero festín! --- --- --- --- --- --- Continué mi caminata hasta la calle Urdaneta, donde se encuentra la casa de mi familia. El atardecer aquí es mágico, con la brisa que nos refresca, el aroma a pescado y los colores rojizos del crepúsculo pintando las aguas del río. Es un punto de encuentro para turistas y locales que vienen a disfrutar de esta vista inigualable. --- --- Finalmente, llegué a la calle Riobueno, cerca de las ruinas del antiguo hospital que también sirvió como liceo Manuel Cedeño. Un lugar lleno de historia personal. Fue un reencuentro emotivo con mis aguas ambarinas. Me despido del Orinoco con un profundo sentimiento de gratitud. Hello, Lifestyle community! Nature is reclaiming its space, and it's fascinating to see how the waters, with their strength and beauty, transform the landscape. Although this natural phenomenon is common for the Orinoco, this time it has exceeded expectations, impacting the inhabitants of its banks along the plains. Armed with my optimism and my mobile phone to capture every moment, I took advantage of the afternoon to walk the streets of Caicara del Orinoco, the place where I grew up. While some streets remain dry, others are already submerged, creating a unique visual spectacle. Life in the town is adapting to this new reality, and the atmosphere is vibrant. People are celebrating the abundance, and the streets are full of life. With just £5, you can get up to 5 kilos of fresh fish, a real feast! --- --- --- --- --- --- I continued my walk to Urdaneta Street, where my family's house is located. The sunset here is magical, with the breeze cooling us, the smell of fish and the reddish colours of twilight painting the waters of the river. It is a meeting point for tourists and locals who come to enjoy this unparalleled view. --- --- Finally, I arrived at Riobueno Street, near the ruins of the old hospital that also served as the Manuel Cedeño high school. A place steeped in personal history. It was an emotional reunion with my amber waters. I bid farewell to the Orinoco with a deep sense of gratitude.
