Thanksgiving and celebration to us Nigerians is a way of life. While some cultures may prefer ram over cow... akpu/loi-loi/fufu, amala or garri(eba) over jollof, or vice versa... we must gyrate over something every year anyway. So excuse us if our second anniversary is a little loud.

There is always something to celebrate in a space where like minds share their thoughts and the Hive Naija Community has many reasons to be this hyped about her second anniversary since the big move. One of the major reasons is what this community means to every one of us. Having a space where we could share our thoughts and be ourselves as Nigerians.
Our prompts have been a game changer in helping the community stay active and it's all thanks to every member and participant who found them interesting, and of course, our able moderators for consistently delivering for over a hundred weeks now. We've become one of the active communities in our second year of intentional growth mindset and it's only just a beginning to more. Right now, we celebrate milestones and stay *gingered* for more to come.

What I've come to love and admire about our people is the commitment to the *hustle.* Our hard work is what makes Nigerians, Nigerians. Which is why there is hardly a country in the world you would go to that you wouldn't find us. We believe in growing.
We believe in learning. We believe in expansion. We try hard, and even when we don't get that which we seek, or maybe fail at it, we try again. Whatever new ways to expand and grow globally, you'll find us there. It's beautiful and deeply inspiring seeing where our values lie and how unique we are in that regard. Nigeria is *the hustle,* and *the hustle* is us. Never been more proud to be part of a people!
We are one, and we let shared values, unity, and growth continue to thrive amongst us. Something we'd like to see more of is real and genuine engagement within us. Let's connect with each other wholeheartedly through our thoughtful comments on each other's posts. We should move past "nice post," "this is beautifully written," and the like and meaningfully interact with one another. You never know whose thoughtful feedback can give relief or bring a positive shift in that person's mindset. It's doable!
Hive Naija is our home community, so do not feel you are alone, but rather see one another as a brother or a sister offering a helping hand whenever and wherever you can with love and respect, which will foster the bond we crave. It's a win-win.
And remember, we will get stronger and better when we move and speak as one. One voice can birth unity, right? Building deeper connections within us is possible when we see the Hive Naija community as more than a platform but as a family.

Needless to say, we've seen so many members of the Hive Naija community join in on the weekly prompts. Amazing to see such huge growth among members. More than just additional members, it’s about seeing them grow as well, which is why we’re promoting some newbies who are doing really well. We truly want to see them shine.
@ellizy is a mother of three who shares awesome content, not just in the Hive Naija community but also in other communities on the Hive blockchain. She’s a fantastic writer, and we can learn so much from her posts about travels, culture, and more. Keep on, @ellizy
@delightedpen is another newbie who’s doing an incredible job with her content. She participates in various communities, leaving wonderful and impressive posts for other Hive members to enjoy. We see you, @delightedpen.
Surely, we wouldn't leave here if we tried to make a list. There are plenty more active, talented and promising newbies out there. Let’s continue to support and celebrate them as they grow and shine within our community! In light of that, we have a little something to kindle our energy. A different type of contest!

For this contest, we the Hive Naija team want to *hear* your voice, fellow Nigerians. In commemoration of our 2nd Anniversary as a community on the Hive Blockchain, we would want you to tell us: **What can you do for your immediate environment?**
For better understanding, what is it your immediate environment is lacking? Could it be water or light, or could you contribute to education? What are the possible solutions you have thought of to tackle these problems? Now, it doesn't have to be something out of this world. You can have a new idea that you think can add value once implemented. Why not share them with us?
### **The prize pool is 50 Hive and the contest will run for 14 days.**
We are not just looking for content but heart and foresight. The best three would take the prize.
### Rules:
* Use #hn-anniversary as the first tag.
* Write a post of 500 words minimum (1000 maximum) pitching solutions to make your immediate environment better.
* Include relevant pictures (they must be yours and not AI-generated).
* Be thoughtful, solution oriented, and avoid needless criticism or negativity.
* AI-generated posts will not be tolerated. This exercise is not for content.
**We'll announce the winners right afterwards**
