Happy weekend to all Splinterlands warriors and players! How are you doing today?
I decided to share this battle because I made the same mistake that my opponent made in this battle. You see, when a player know the intention of his opponent, that is, the player is paired with, the battle becomes very easy and simple. That was exactly whT happened in this battle.
The Three Most Important Monsters in Water Splinter The first thing I discovered when I was selecting the summoner was was that, I had 100% assurance that my opponent would use Water splinter. I knew the best way to defeat water monster was to use water monsters.
I selected the three monster important Water Monsters which are:
Mystic Scaleweaver: seriously! Most time I encountered players using Water monsters, about 90% of the players used Mystic Scaleweaver. The slow ability makes some of the players to use it. When I did not have Mystic Scaleweaver it was difficult for me to win battles of which opponents used Mystic Scalewaever.
One of the unique ability of Mystic Scalewaever I that, it reduces the speed of opponent monsters, makes it slow to attack.
Most time I used Mystic Scalewaever, and my opponent did not used, I win majority of the battles.
The health of Mystic Scalewaever makes majority of the players to placed in the last position. They understand that before it is eliminated, more harm would have been done to opponents monsters. Therefore, the majority of players placed Mystic Scalewaever as the last monster in the battle.
Saltwater Mage: this another monster that is mostly used in water splinter. The attack of Saltwater Mage may have caught the attention of some players, and the sneak ability may be the reason of some player to use it.
For me, I like to include Saltwater Mage in my lineup due to its sneak and magic ability. 3 magic attack is not small, and it is enough to win battles.
Water-Logged Wizard: I always used Water-Logged Wizard due to its magic attack: probably, it may be the reason while some players fun of using it. If you look at the Water-Logged Wizard it was a monster with the high speed in this battle; attacking faster also makes me to be fun of using it.
Rules of the battle
Ferocity: All units have fury (deals double damage if the target has taunt)
One of the reason it is not advisable to use a monster with taunt ability such as New Beluroc Aegis was the ferocity rule. If this monster was used, an attack from Mystic Scaleweaver or Saltwater Mage would have eliminated it.
Unprotected: All units have 0 armor and cannot gain armor from archons or abilities

Monsters Arrangement
Asel Alagosdil
Splinter: Water 💧💧💧
Level: 1 ⭐⭐
Speed: 2 🚤🚤
Ability: Untrainable and Divine Shield
Health: 4 ❤️❤️❤️❤️♥️
Attack: None
Mana: 4
Just like what I said early that when you understand the strategy of your opponent, the battle becomes easy and simple. When water splinter is used, I know that the majority of monsters that will be in action are magic monsters. To delay them from destroying my first monster, I used Asel Alagosdil.
Sincerely, there was not monster in my water splinter that would have reached the second round except Asel Alagosdil. This monster was able to reach second round due to its divine shield.
I mistakenly placed Port Guardian in the first position, it would have been eliminated in the first round; if I placed Great Bear Druid in the first position, it won't reach second round, and If I placed Spitting Camel there would not be a monster that will prevent my backline from Saltwater Mage**.
Water-Logged Wizard
Splinter: Water 💧💧💧
Level: 3 ⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 3 🚤🚤🚤
Ability: Deflect
Health: 4 ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Attack: Magic
Mana: 6
The higher the speed, the faster the attack; placing it at the second position was a good choice. I knew Water-Logged Wizard would attack twice before it is eliminated. My plan was to attack twice before it is eliminated; but it was able to attack three times in this battle.
It was eliminated in the third round of this battle.
Mystic Scaleweaver
Spli tonter: Water
Level: 1 ⭐
Speed: 2 🚤🚤
Ability: Slow
Health: 7 ❤️❤️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Attack: Magic
Mana: 9
I have used Mystic Scaleweaver in all positions, and I understand that the best position is the middle. There was a battle I placed it in last position just the way my opponent’s placed it in this battle, it was eliminated by Saltwater Mage and all the opponent’s monsters gain +1 speed, and I was defeated.
The last position would have been the best position for Mystic Scaleweaver if not the threat from Saltwater Mage. Hence, in-between the first and last monsters is the best position for Mystic Scaleweaver
As you can see from this battle, my opponent placed his Mystic Scaleweaver in the last position, and it was eliminated in the third round of the battle.
Saltwater Mage
Splinter: Water
Level: 1 ⭐
Speed: 1 🚤
Ability: Sneak
Health: 5 ❤️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Attack: Magic
Mana: 8
I use Saltwater Mage in majority of times I used Water splinter; it was impossible to ignor this kind of monster with amazing attack. Even sometime if I'm fortunte to use two monsters, I still used Saltwater Mage. There was a battle I fought yesterday, I understand my opponent would use melee monsters, I decided to use Saltwater Mage
In the second position and Mystic Scaleweaver in the first position; and I won the battle.
Spitting Camel
Splinter: Water
Level: 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Speed: 1 🚤
Ability: True Strike
Health: 8 ❤️❤️❤️❤️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Attack: Ranged
Mana: 6
Opponent’s Saltwater Mage was the reason I brought Spitting Camel into this battle. I knew my opponent would use Saltwater Mage, that was the reason I deviced a method to delay it; with 8 health, I knew Spitting Camel was the best to place at the last position. I knew only **spitting Camel could do this!
In conclusion, when you understands your opponent formation- the strategy and what kind of monsters he/she would use; it gives you tips and strategy to win the battle.
