This first edition was merely an attempt at a tiny, random, DIY, semi-spontaneous, p2p meetup for those who wish to spend time chatting, wandering aimlessly, and indulging in pierogi or pizza. It worked. So guess what? We are doing it again!

When: Friday–Sunday, 14–16 November 2025 Where: Kraków, Poland (city-wide; more on “basecamp” below)
What is it this time?
HiveBeeCon stays true to its roots: a tiny, DIY, peer-to-peer gathering. No tickets, no stage, no fuss. Just Hive users (and Hive-curious folks) hanging out, talking, wandering, hacking, and eating far too many pierogi.
“Hive it your own way.”
Bring an idea, a walk, a café, a topic, a mini-workshop, and then find people who want to do that with you.
Why now (and not last year)?
We skipped a 2024 edition because HiveFest was in Europe. Demand for a small side-gathering rises when HiveFest lands outside the continent, so, voilà, 2025 is on.
How to find us:
We’ll publish a daily "where to meet" ping during the weekend. Expect afternoon/evening meetups at our basecamp and ad-hoc daytime micro-meetups all around.
Basecamp
We’re lucky to have a Hive Powered, friendly place in town: @krolestwo (Królestwo Bez Kresu): Biskupia 18. Think of it as our reliable meetup spot. Bez Kresu means Without Limits, and so is our entire conference. HiveBeeCon is a city-wide vibe: parks, cafés, walks, and whatever else the swarm decides.
What’s not happening
- No organized tourist excursions (e.g., Wieliczka). Feel free to self-organize small groups if you want.
- No paywalls or ticket bundles.
- No off-topic promos: no MLMs, no kitchen-gadget evangelism, etc. 😉
Talks, demos, and mini-workshops
We love Hive-first content. If you have an idea, feel free to share
- Ping @gtg and @hallmann in advance (comment, OpenHive.Chat, or email below).
- We’ll curate to keep the weekend on-topic and Hive-focused.
No MLMs, no kitchen-gadget evangelism, etc. ;-)
RSVP (lightweight is fine)
Let us know you’re coming and which days you will be around (Fri / Sat / Sun) so we can gauge headcount:
- Comment below or
- Post in #HiveBeeCon on OpenHive.Chat (Hive login via Hive.Blog or Hivesigner) or
- Email hivebeecon@openhive.chat
(There’s a Telegram bridge to the chat for those who need it: https://t.me/+eIKEVPnE1ARjYzVk )
Do we need an agenda?
Not really. We’ll keep a rolling, living list of micro-meetups and who’s doing what/when/where. The fun part is that it changes as people arrive.
That’s it. HiveBeeCon is a date on the calendar and a bunch of Hive users in the same city. The rest? We’ll make it together.
Follow @hivebeecon for the next posts and the rolling meetup list.
