I'd write My first midnight letter to My Beloved Country NIGERIA on her 65th independence day celebration...
without mixed feelings or mixing words NIGERIA is one enviable unique country in the whole world, and I am unapologetically proud to be called a Nigerian anywhere in the globe, this identity is one to be proud of....
we are a country of diverse culture, multi-ethnicity different tribes and tongues people born from different race yet bonded to gather on our common grounds of national unity, what we have achieved thus far is unprecedented anywhere in the world never had it been heard of a country of this complexity still standing strong together in love unity and freedom.
yes we have our differences. yes we have our fears ,yes we cry , we fight, yes we have our quarrel and our struggles, we feel the pain some times injustice prevail, we know our weaknesses and still we know our strengths in the midst of all this we look beyond the past and focus our gaze at a greater better future together...
the stage is set
it still baffles the elites of the world how such a country still unites for over 65 years of existence and counting, still we sang the echoes of our heros past, the chants of victory, the battles won, the national struggle for independence, till her glorious flag was lifted high for all to see.....
just like every nation of the earth we have our differences and we're proud to face them squarely, we're not perfect yet but we never relent, from one administration to another trying it's best to strengthen the cord that binds us together.
I'm proud of my identity as NIGERIAN anywhere in the world we stand tall, our presence is clearly known, we make the difference, we create the move we are genuise intellectually clever smart people , we go the extra mile to make it happen, we are exceptional people with exceptional skills and prowess in different key areas, we break records like it's nothing I hear tales of my nija brethren doing things, great and amazing stuffs and I can boldly beat my chest and say that's my brother , that's my sister.
I'm proud to be serving my father's land at this point In time, amidst the chaos, the uncertainty, the not making sense i see a light at the end of a tunnel, Nigeria is a great country with great dreams, great people indeed the future is bright.
