It's a very complicated, confusing and a complex matter, the tale of love is a subjective one, cause everyone one of us have a totally different definition of what love is, and ofcourse we all tend to define love from the experiential stand point, based on our emotion, based on our feelings based one attachment or benefit to another and there's no central definition to that, however I'll go out of context to relate my own perspective on the matter.
before now I have been very very curious as to what love really is, cause I don't seem to get it, one moment you see two people so madly in love with each other, I can't eat, can't sleep, I can't breath, my world my intestines and everything i own in this world is yours, sweet, beautiful, awesome stories then all of a sudden you see this two people turn cold, bloody enemies, I'm like what transpired? what changed when did it happened how, when, I want to understand what people mean to be love...
is it just emotional affection?, just feelings? is that all? just pleasure?, is it just the physical looks How beautiful or how handsome, is it just f or momentarily satisfaction, my curiosity got the better of me and I realise for sure that this are basically the ground reason why people fall in love and because of that, all of that had become a strong tool of deception, lies, faking it just for momentarily satisfaction, personal gains, among others.
If love is blind then how do we say it's a beautiful thing when we can't see it
sometime ago I did a song cover of Michael Bolton's When a man loves a woman, and as i sang through, each words in the lyrics began to make sense to me, true it's a fact, when a man loves a woman, he's literally blinded by it, all she does is perfect and can turn his back on his best friend even his family if they puts her down.
love is blind because we humans have emotions, we respond to our feelings, all these triggers our responses to things, since love is the greatest and basic need of every human, they would go all out, do anything to get it, because of these high demand on love, it can turn manipulative if any of the party dictate the desperation.
personally I've experienced love in all forms and I understand better now, my curiosity got me digging for answers and I found out that love is far beyond what we think it is, our emotions and feelings and affection and what ever we think love is are all secondary.
one time I was having this exact same discussion with my friend and I said the only thing, that can keep two separate people together in love is not love in itself, it's finding common grounds , common purpose, something that bonds them together, something that nurture and keep the love they share alive, to me this is love, finding purpose in each other, apart from this you understand why once people have gotten what they wanted they get a divorce and back to their separate ways, once that immediate self gratification is achieved they're done or better still once that aura , that fantasy is over love is finished.
