In the explanation of Brother Eli of christians paying tithes titan is just like a reminder that Christ has given us liberty. Unlike the old testament where the leviticus would fix their tithing as ten percent.
This was a fixed law and it's priesthood ended with death but with Jesus christ our priesthood has changed, so is the law. There has been a shift. All those rigid tithing are no more here. We are meant to give freely.
2 Corinthians Chapter 9 vs 7 says that that "Every man according to as he proposed in his heart, let him give not grudgingly but out of necessity". God loves a cheerful giver.
This teaching has made us to know that those magnetic percentage that has been fixed on us is no more, we have been given liberty. This is the essence of why Christians should give freely. The macedonians in the book of 2 Corinthians 8:1-3, where the most Macedonians gave freely, despite their poverty, they also give above their means not out of a fixed obligation or any other people imposing on them but from a joyful heart.
We as christian, we should give voluntarily and our giving should be driven by love of God and not by compulsion. Salvation as Jesus taught is free and contribute to the kingdom of God should be from our own personal conviction and belief not a fixed rule. We should embrace this freedom and give cheerfully. God sees our hearts as we give according to our capacity.
