The teaching on the purpose of our creation, when we do good as God designs, it's like reflecting on what the earlier explanation about our creator's purpose and for bringing us into life.
I was deeply moved by the simplicity of the message. He made emphasis that we are created to be doers of goodness. We are to feel the work of God that he has already prepared for us. So this teaching reminds us that our existence is not just a by accident. Not is it meant to be self-centered, but every part of our being, our mind, our souls and everything and our daily actions should serve the purpose of God.
In 2 Timothy 2:20-21, there has been an illustration about this truth. There are different kinds of vessels. Some bring honor and some bring dishonor. So likewise, people can choose what kind of vessel they will be, whether they will bring honor or dishonor.
Those who are willing to cleanse themselves from this impurity or wrongdoing become the vessel for God to use. They are sanctified and ready for the master's work.
This has challenged us to reflect on our own actions. Are we ready to be the vessel of honor or to be used for the purpose of God? So God has made a vision of society where everyone lives to do good. And this might inspire people to be hopeful and to be faithful to God.
If each of us are willing to embrace this purpose, to do good to others, to love one another, to share love, they would experience the kind of peace, joy that God wants for us. We need to be the community where journey, care and affection would truly be heaven-like.
