Listening to teaching of Brother Eli about the week of Sabbath opened my understanding of what it means to keep resting in Christ.
For so long people have argued about which day should be kept as Sabbath, Saturday or Sunday. True rest is not about the day of the week, it's about the person, Jesus Christ himself.
When the Bible says, if Joshua had given them rest, then would he not afterwards have spoken to them another day? Hebrews 4:8, it reveals that. When we talk about the real rest, God was pointing to not that physicality, but more of a spiritual one is the preparation for the coming of Christ.
The day that david spoke about in Psalm 118:24. This is the day that made and we rejoice and glad in it. This is a very important day not just the dates on the calendar but a day where the lord Jesus Christ will bring rest to the way.
The invitation in Mark 11:28 makes it to come on to me and I will give you rest. This is not the rest for our bodies but the important reference also a piece that cannot be found in observance specifically. When you talk about the truth sabbath therefore these not start today this does only, it's not a ritual command written on stone this is more of a relationship.
When we are getting in christ trust him and his finished work. I live him by his grace in him our souls.
