Listening to Brother Eli about the separation of death opened my heart and gave me a deeper understanding on what it truly means to live and die according to the will of God.
We grew up in assuming that fear is death, thinking that it is a form of punishment or something evil or the end of something good. But as Brother Eli has already said, death is not that evil, especially for those who still have God, it is part of the divine plan of God for us to die and be within paradise.
Death according to the scripture reminds us of two great truths, which is the judgment that is inevitable and our life belongs entirely to God. We never live by our own strength, every prayer we take is because God allows it.
The moment he decides for us is time off. So no man has a choice. He has the power to retain the spirit. This one also means that life itself is a gift, not something we own by ourselves.
Brother Eli has showed us that for those who fear and serve God can even prolong their days and it means that our relationship with Him influences how we live and how long we live. Instead of fearing death, we should focus more on serving God and preparing ourselves so that the day will meet our maker in heaven.
