In Aachen we also looked beyond technology and spoke about our role in caring for the world around us. The Clean Planet initiative, presented by Michael @masterswatch with the Keynotes from Norman (@tibfox), showed how simple actions can create real impact.
Clean Planet began in 2018 and has since inspired almost 40,000 clean-up walks by people across the globe. The idea is straightforward: go outside, collect rubbish, take a photo, and share the experience on Hive using the " #cleanplanet " tag. Each walk not only helps free nature from waste but also sparks conversations about Hive and the value of community-driven action.
The project averages more than a hundred clean-up walks each week and has become a positive way to combine environmental care with blockchain visibility. It is proof that even small efforts, multiplied by many people, can make a big difference.
At the summit we also joined the movement in practice, meeting on Sunday morning for a walk through the forest near the Belgian border, collecting litter together. A reminder that Hive is not only about code and apps, but also about shared values and real-world action.
