This Week’s Developer Updates

Four teams responded this week to share updates on their active projects. In no particular order:

Team Techcoderx (@techcoderx / @aioha)

VSC:

• Completed contract test tools
• Cleaned up, removedthe vm-runner process in Dockerfile, and fixedthe build
• Updated docs for contract testing

VSC Blocks:

• Continued work on the go contract verifier: fetch contract source code from GitHub instead of individual source code file upload for better UX

Team Threespeak Witness (@sagarkothari88 / @threespeak)

Checkinwith.xyz

• Added search for pending approvals and fixed role-based visibility (Onboarder/Manage Onboarder buttons, sidebar).
• Integrated hive-authentication, removed old login utils, fixed initialization.
• Improved UI: zoom-in issue, mobile keyboard dismissal, landing page colors, refresh/version in sidebar.
• Fixed selfie upload bug, improved Hive Joiners list (profile, clickable cards, time ago)

Distriator

• Integrated hive-authentication, removed old login helpers, and switched to Context API.
• Enhanced business flows with image resize, updated business fixes, and role-based sidebar.
• Added Claim Status & Cashback Status screens with API integration.
• UI fixes: search bar, manage user position, sidebar refresh/version; Hive blog redirect for reviews

Hive-Authentication Package

• Developed Wallet component with balances, Hive Power, estimated value, and modern UI (cards, gradients, dark/light mode).
• Improved login/switch user modals, centered UI, and cleared Aioha accounts on logout.
• Enabled re-login for existing users, removed LocalStorage dependency, QR login via Keychain

Team Actifit (@mcfarhat / @actifit)

Block Explorer, BT and HC:

• Implemented a new card for proxied accounts under the profile view
• New HP/Vests settings for default view mode
• Working on new Richlist page
• Fix autocomplete issue removing accounts + enter/tab issues fixed
• Fix issue with export data in the account operations page
• Implement a switch for paginated data in the user balance history page in alignment with the new API
• Sanity checks on all Swagger API calls
• Working on converting requests integration to the user balance API

Actifit:

• Fix the gauges' layout in the Actifit web app
• append DHF proposals link to footer
• New searchable workout exercises(under works)
• Optimizing AI workout generation + fixing issues (under work)
• New editable workouts (under works)

Actifit Android incorporated changes:

• expand post screen editor (full screen mode)
• translation service now Gemini-based + enhanced accuracy
• auto-update list of saved workouts post workout generation
• fix issue with one of our Actifit nodes

Team Mithril (@ecoinstant / @team.mithril)

What is Swarm of Swarms?

This is a new series of blogs where we will share updates from the Hive development community. The content consists of meeting notes from a virtual developer meeting, titled 'Swarm of Swarms,' which adheres to the Bee Hive theme. We have been doing this for around 30 weeks, without posting the content on-chain or elsewhere. As we broadcast more widely, I hope everyone can gain greater visibility into all the Hive project development.

The Swarm of Swarms is a virtual gathering where blockchain developers building on the Hive network converge to share project updates, insights, and knowledge. This decentralized meet-up brings together a collective of innovators and visionaries from the Hive ecosystem, specifically those developing applications and use cases on the blockchain. As participants join the Swarm, they are exposed to ideas, solutions, and experiences, allowing them to expand their professional networks and gain a deeper understanding of the rapidly evolving Hive ecosystem. Through this virtual convergence, the Swarm of Swarms aims to cultivate a culture of open communication, mutual support, and collective growth among its members.

I send weekly reminders to the participating development teams, encouraging them to share their progress in the Mattermost 'Swarm of Swarms' channel. Other developers can visit this channel to learn about the projects other teams are working on. The hope is that open communication will inspire more side conversations and collaborations. 👏 I appreciate the development team leaders who take a few minutes each week to share their latest achievements. There is room for more participation, and the coffee is free.
