Are you a pizza lover? I am. My favorites are thin crust and cheesy pizza. For me, the thinner and crispier the pizza, the better it is. Obviously, this isn't true for everyone, as some people like thick pizza bases. However, I personally like to consume fewer carbohydrates in my daily diet, so I prefer thin pizza bases.
Although I have attempted to make homemade pizza a few times, I haven't been successful. And one day, someone in my friend list just posted a photo about Tortilla Pizza. This is a very cool idea. As soon as I found it. I can’t delay making my own way to the supermarket to buy a bag of tortillas.Well, I actually bought 2 of them, one is the low carb spinach and herbs tortilla and the other one is just the basic white wrap. It’s a quick and easy idea on your lazy day. Simply top the tortilla wrap with sauce, toppings and put it in the oven, bake until golden and crispy. In my recipe, I picked seafoods for the topping. You can choose any topping that you prefer.
INGREDIENTS (For 4 Pizzas)
-
4 Tortilla Wrap
-
50g Mozzarella Cheese
-
Seafood topping: Prawn, Squid, Scallop
-
1/6 Pineapple (optional)
-
60ml Pizza Sauce
-
20ml BBQ Sauce
-
5g Garlic Powder
-
5g Chili Flake
HOW TO MAKE A TORTILLA PIZZA
-
Place the tortilla on the tray and put it in the oven. I have an air-fryer with similar function to the oven so I use it instead, but if you don’t have the oven, you can place the tortilla in the pan with lid. The point is you need to pre-cook the toppings to make sure it will not undercook after
-
In a small bowl, combine the pizza sauce, BBQ sauce, and garlic powder. Spread the sauce evenly on the tortilla
-
Cut the seafood, pineapple and mushrooms into small square shapes, put them on top of the pizza
-
Sprinkle the cheese and chili flake
-
Bake at 180 degree or heat on the pan with closed lid until the base turns golden and crispy and the cheese is bubbly.

Tadaaaa! It’s ready to eat!!!!!!
I was pleasantly surprised by how good the tortilla pizza tasted. It's way beyond my expectations for a very quick and easy way to make a decent meal for my family. No oil, low carbs, tasty flavor. It's such a perfect choice on a lazy cooking day. In terms of wrap, I personally prefer the low carbs tortilla. It turned out crispier than the white one. If you haven't known about it before, I highly recommend giving it a try. I hope you enjoy it as I do! Thank you for visiting my blog today.
