Saturday night was the big night. After a month of stressful errands, plans, paperwork, and protocolar events, my little one was done with HS. Now, she could eat, dance, drink and be merry.
Since they knew how long it would take them to be ready, they started early in the morning. While I visited my aunt, they went to the hairdresser and worked on their makeup.
As for me, I got dressed 30 minutes before leaving 😁.
We took a taxi to the club and got there at 8pm. There was already a small line of families waiting (about 3 people/guests per student).
We left @annaky at the entrance and were ushered to our table in the ballroom.
We were among the first ones to get access and I took some pictures of the room.
Everything looked amazing! Especially the desserts table. 🤤
Now I understand why students had to pay some many fees in this school.
I'm sure most of the budget was spent on this thing and the DJ.
We waited patiently for the students to make their entrance.
And took some pictures in the meantime.
Finally, they all came down the stairs with their prom dates, relatives or friends (some did it alone) and the party began!
They had different booths, backgrounds and decorations to have their pictures taken.
It was a harmonious mix of youth, parents, teachers, friends and relatives.
They brought all kinds of appetizers. We ate a lot, brought some home and there were still plenty on the table.
We danced and had fun.
The kids had plenty of time to share with their classmates, who they will probably not see in a long time after each one goes their sepárate ways. They shared among themselves and with family. No incident was reported up to 3:00 am when we decided to leave the party. They told my daughter some people stayed until 5:00 am.
It felt so rewarding to have shared these important moments with my daughters. I am traveling back to Caracas as I write this post (with a broken heart 😥) and @imabby17 will go back to Brazil at the end of the month. We are not sure when we'll be all together again, but we made sure all these days will become treasured memories.
