Hello brethren of Christ, I belief God is keeping us save by the power of His grace. Today we want to discuss based on this topic; "what is the proper way to pray?". This topic is so import that we will make a review on it again. First of all, let's take a look at the meaning of prayer.
WHAT IS PRAYER?
Prayer is a communication in worship; making a request, intercession or thanksgiving from man to God.
Prayer is a form of submissiveness to God in good acknowledgement that you can not do anything all by yourself, without God;John 15:5.
However, many people doesn't really know the right way to pray to God. But Jesus Christ showed us a proper way to Pray, talk to God and make a request. He said; but when you pray say this way:
_Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. He added, as it is in the kingdom, let it also be same on earth: Matthew 6:9-13._ "As it is in the kingdom, let it be same on earth", Shows that a believer needs to always seek the mind and the will of God in prayers. How do you pray according to the will of God; By praying according to words. Because His will is in His word. Effective prayer is according to the word of God, He says: _"Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified". Isaiah 43:26._ Are you making a request? Are interceding? Are are you praying for healing? bring this to God in prayer as according to His word. Put him in remembrance (God doesn't forget therefore in this context, Putting God in remembrance means, bringing forth your strong reasoning by His word). _Are you praying for healing? His word says: "And thou shall serve the lord thy God, He shall bless thy bread and water and He shall take sickness away from among you",Exodus 23:25._ Therefore while praying for healing, you bring up this verse according to His word. Now the word of God is light. What happens when the light shines in the dark room? Darkness checks out immediately. meaning; When you include this verse sincerely as a child of God who have served the Lord in your prayers seeking for healing, every form of sickness checks out immediately. By the power of the light in the word of God. * * * Amen! So people of God, while praying, effectiveness comes from sincerely engaging the word of God.
