Hello beautiful #hiveopenmic community. It's been a while since I posted on the blockchain. I have been super busy with my job and in my spare time just having the odd jam with my friends which left me with little to no time to write any posts.
I have missed you all dearly, particularly @mipiano and Cabe!
I had a conversation with @queenoftheworld yesterday afternoon. I told her I wasn't quite feeling myself, that I am tired and could feel my mindset sliding downhill. A good friend is one that can help to lift you out of that lull. Who doesn't let you slip under the waves and has a wonderful way of carrying you back to shore when you feel like you may otherwise be getting swept out to sea.
Now there is a method in my mad rambling here. I wasn't going to write a song and then I realised I haven't written a song since starting my job back in June. So I took a look at the theme today. This is the first time in at least 4 to 5 months that I opened up my Hive account and I felt very connected to the theme for this week>>> Different Thoughts.
Immediately I felt a tune come into my head and the words kind of just flowed. I wrote this song just over 3 hours ago (at the time of writing this post). So my song is about creating different thoughts, positive thoughts. My thoughts of late have been quite negative so this is where the song ties in nicely to the theme. And you know what... Just by writing this positive upbeat song, has lifted my spirits and brought my sunshine back.
