Limone sul Garda is an Italian town in the province of Brescia in Lombardy.
Today Limone is one of the most popular tourist resorts on the Brescia coast, famous for its lemon houses, its precious olive oil, and for the longevity of some of its inhabitants.
On a sunny Friday afternoon, we started our journey to Lake Garda in Italy. We packed a few clothes, a full supply of food in the fridge and a good mood. Our journey took us through the beautiful landscapes of Italy, the weather was perfect. We arrived at our campsite and pitched the tent on our off-road vehicle. After a cup of coffee, we went for a short walk around the lake, where cute ducklings awaited us. The temperature of the lake was still cold.
The next morning we woke up to a sunny day. I made coffee and went to the bakery to get fresh croissants.
After breakfast, we went to get electric bikes, the city is also known for its well-maintained bike path that runs right above the lake. The final length should be as much as 140 km. Currently, about 5 km have been done.
The city was full of flowers of all different colors, and the smell of lemons and olives accompanied me throughout the trip. We visited the famous lemon house, where at the end there was a cute stand full of lemon products. I bought limoncello; they say it's the best spirit.
After an active day, we needed a pizza. It was a perfect choice of dinner. In the evening, we went to see the city. It was already full of people. We drank aperol spritz and also enjoyed cannoli stuffed with pistachio and lemon cream while listening pleasant live music.
The next morning, unfortunately, we had to go back home. It was short but sweet.💙
See you in the next post.
