As you already know, I'm a morning person. I got up with excitement at 4:30 in the morning knowing that my friends and I were going to the lake high up in the moutains.
The lake in Luznica is the highest lying lake in the Soča valley. From the lake, which is 80 m long, 70 m wide and 10 m deep, we have a beautiful view of the peaks and the valley of the Soča river.
We gathered in front of our house and drove to the parking lot in the village of Krn. We each filled our backpacks with good food and drinks and set off on our journey.
The path took us past many mountains, cows were already grazing on the meadows. The smell of summer has finally come to life in the Soča valley as well. After a long winter, the temperature rose to an excellent 25 degrees Celsius. Many mountain flowers were already smiling at the pleasant sun. We climbed a slightly steep path to the aforementioned destination. It took us just under two hours.
Looking at the turquoise lake, I felt like I was in a state of zen. Calm water, birds that flew above us, crickets that were already waking up. A person would like nothing more and nothing less at this moment.
When we saw the natural beauty, we could already smell the coffee that was being brewed on the portable stove. With some sugar and a little milk, my cup of coffee is perfect. How do you prefer to drink your coffee?☕️ We cut a few slices of homemade prosciutto and homemade mountain cheese and enjoyed a pleasant Wednesday morning.
We returned home full of new memories, the satisfaction of having spent the day together.
Enjoy the rest of Wednesday, See you in the next post
