I know it’s a bit late, but last month I just took my oath as a newly licensed professional teacher. I am truly honored to be part of this profession, something that I didn’t expect from the start. And I am fully aware that this is just the beginning of another journey of my life. So, here I am today, embracing the victory of hard work and dedication.

> February 16, 2025, to be exact, is the scheduled day for our oathtaking that was held at San Jose Recoletos Basak, Cebu City. There are actually three schedules for that day, and I choose the 2nd batch, which will start at 11am, and we are advised to be there at 9am since we still need to line up for the registration. Gladly we arrived at the venue on time, but unfortunately we just learned that the first batch started late already, so it is expected that there is a delay in our batch. But yeah, we can’t do anything about it but to patiently wait outside.

While waiting, I was so amazed looking at the surroundings; seeing the other inductees wearing such beautiful Filipiniana dresses and gowns, and they really look amazing and beautiful. I could really see that every one of us is preparing for this day. As for me, I didn’t buy or rent a Filipiniana dress/gown because it is quite expensive, so I just bought a long dress in wine red, which is my favorite color, and paired it with a bolero. I know a bolero is not that affordable and expensive at the same time, but I decided to buy it because it is way cheaper compared to gowns, and I could still use it in future events.

Around 11:30 am we are now allowed to go inside, and luckily I was able to go in right away, and I was able to sit in near the stage. When everyone got in already, I was so amazed by just looking around because the gymnasium was fully occupied by the inductees. My mind can’t even imagine how many of us here are wholeheartedly praying to get the license that we hope for.

It wasn’t an easy battle for me, honestly, and I know it wasn’t for some also. It wasn’t easy because as I mentioned here before it was like 9 years ago already since I graduated my Bachelor’s Degree which is the Tourism Management so basically it was a huge decision for me to study again. I am thinking numerous times if I’m going to do it since I’m so afraid of failure and imagine the big change of career path from travel industry to education. Well, thinking about my DPE journey, it’s quiet easy specially I’ll just have to study for like a two semester; a total of 36 units including my field study. But here’s the catch, when I finished it that is where I started to feel nervous about my next step.

The next step would be the board examination but after all those months of struggling, I was able to add my name on the list of passers and for that, I am forever grateful to the universe and to our God for giving me such a big blessing. Who would’ve thought right? God is truly amazing.

Here I am, receiving the pin of hopes and dreams and ready to leap another milestone. So, to my aspiring educators or LET takers,. let this be your sign to push through and never give-up because the *BEST is yet to come*.😊 The road to success may be challenging, but your determination and perseverance will lead you to achieve your dreams.
You have made this far, and with your unwavering spirit, there’s nothing that can stop you. May you conquer the Licensure Examination and be one step closer to fulfilling your aspirations. Fighting!
