Greetings Writing Club friends, I hope you are having an excellent and blessed Friday. For this occasion, I decided to write a poem to my maternal great-grandmother, a warrior woman and I admired her a lot✨ Her birthday is very close and I wanted to do something special for her🤍🕊️ Enjoy!
Bajo el cielo de esta noche azul
Te extraño más que nunca
Aún guardo en el viejo baúl
Bellos recuerdos de cuando estábamos juntas.
Desde mi telescopio,
puedo ver constelaciones de estrellas
Pero sin duda, tú eres la más bella
Eres la más brillante y deslumbrante.
Cálida como Venus
Elegante como Saturno
No sabes cuanto anhelo volver abrazarte
Aunque sea por un segundo.
Comparado con lo mucho que te quiero
El diámetro de Júpiter se queda pequeño
Aún te veo en mis sueños
Y quisiera que ese momento fuera sempiterno.
Como el planeta tierra
Llena de vida estabas
Pero en un abrir y cerrar de ojos
Tú ya me faltabas.
En mis labios dejaste
El sabor amargo de un adiós
Aún la herida no sana
Mi corazón sigue partido en dos.
Bajo esta noche azul
Las lágrimas brotan más que nunca
En mí dejaste un gran vacío,
Días fríos y sombríos.
Pero más allá del dolor
Eres mi ángel protector
Quien desde el cielo
Me cuida y me bendice.
Under the sky of this blue night
I miss you more than ever
I still keep in the old trunk
Beautiful memories of when we were together.
From my telescope
I can see constellations of stars
But without a doubt, you are the most beautiful
You are the brightest and most dazzling.
Warm as Venus
Elegant as Saturn
You don't know how much I long to hold you again
Even for a second.
Compared to how much I love you
The diameter of Jupiter is small
I still see you in my dreams
And I would like that moment to be everlasting.
Like the planet earth
Full of life you were
But in the blink of an eye
You were already missing me.
On my lips you left
The bitter taste of a goodbye
Still the wound does not heal
My heart is still broken in two.
Under this blue night
Tears flow more than ever
You left a great void in me,
Cold and dark days.
But beyond the pain
You are my guardian angel
Who from heaven
Watches over me and blesses me.
