The Maui Axis Deer were out in plain sight again, foraging in Kula. Today I photographed a healthy looking Stag in the backyard, he managed to graze his way all the way up to the lawn, where I surprised him with an impromptu photo shoot.
This Axis Deer Surprised me as much as I surprised him.
I ran back for my camera after I saw him, and he ran back for the woods after he saw me.
