A NEIGHBOR TO LABOR FOR

All my life, I have always lived in a place where I have neighbors not just one. Growing up we lived in an apartment that has so many rooms and in all these rooms, everyone who lived there was our neighbors because we also lived in one of those apartments. One will think that since we were so many we won’t be able to befriend all but that was far from it. Back then we all shared a lot of things in common and that helped us in so many ways. I remember so many times my family really got a lot of help from our neighbors and I also know we were also ready to also assist and most if not all of our neighbors, trusted us and it is something I’m grateful for. https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/hopestylist/EoPJeHGg8hh2Ct3EjEYq3sTUaS7khtgCJifZigeJcAHBKBjMDdh7fEXPQ6AifeQm5F5.jpeg I was still little then but a lot of my neighbors trusted me to look after their kids. And also help them remove their clothes from the line when it was going to rain and many others. Life then was good in the aspect of my relationship with my neighbors but not for my family. So when we moved, the next place was almost the same until the place we live in now. We still have neighbors that we have good connections with but this time they are fewer. We ask for their help every now and then and they do the same but it feels different from how it was when I was younger. Here at school, I don’t know all my neighbors and that is because I came in as someone who was squatting with someone and since I’m not really the type that likes socializing as before, I only know a few people in my compound and neighborhood in general. I’m hoping that there will come a time when I can socializing more with them but I try my best to help them when I can. I actually don’t like disturbing people because I won’t want them to do the same to me unless I really have to. I think I’m the kind of neighbor that I’ll like to have. I don’t like prying into other’s privacy and I also like that for myself too. I try my best to clip my clothes properly and also wash when I’ll be at home so I don’t give others too much stress of always helping me remove my clothes from the line. I don’t mind helping when I can but I have seen that some people can’t help no matter how convenient it is for them and for that, I think it is best to be prepared always. Nothing beats having good neighbors and I strive everyday to be one but it is not easy most times but I’m not giving up on myself. I pray to have good neighbors and God has been hearing and answering my prayers. Having good neighbors makes life easier and more enjoyable than having a neighbor that only cares for his or herself. And now that I have been made to give a response to this topic, it is a wake up call and a reminder to continue striving to be a good neighbor.
