FAME WITHOUT THE HUNT

Being known is something that is neither bad nor good. What sets it apart is how and what we are being known for. When someone is known for being a good person or for anything related to being good, that is something that most people can live with and would hardly ever mind that they are being famous for their good deeds. But the moment we are famous because of something bad we have done or something that is frowned upon by the society and most especially a scandal, we start seeing fame as a bad thing to have. But you know, no matter what we as humans do, there is always going to be a bad act to spoil our reputation. For this last edition of the Hivelearners topic, we are asked to share our thoughts on **TO BE FAMOUS**. Being famous is something that comes as a result of either our good deeds or our bad deeds. It doesn’t just come on its own. It is earned most of the time. Either by our family name, our talents/skills, our good conducts, our connections and so much more. Just sitting idle somewhere doesn’t make us famous. We become famous by doing something and doing it well, whether good or bad. If tomorrow my family and I become famous, I’ll pray it is for a good reason. And that way, I can be rest assured that it will be a good thing. When we are good at what we do and how we do it, it is almost inevitable not to be famous and for me, that’s something we should not try to run away from but we should also not let it get into our heads and allow it affect us in anyway that can ruin our good conducts and worse, ruin us.  But one thing is certain, trying to be the best in the things I do is not for me to be famous. I love my privacy. I love doing things on the low. I hate unnecessary attentions especially when I’m the one putting in effort to get that attention. That’s never my kind of person. But I appreciate it when doing well attracts people to myself. So, that’s where the twist is. As long as I’m doing what I know how to do the best way I can and that attracts people to me, I’m totally fine with it but working tirelessly to gain that fame, is a complete no no for me. Like I said before, being famous is not bad until we are known for something awful. As long as our names are on the lips of people because of something good we have done, I’m sure we will have little or no problem with it at all. But once we are famous for the wrong reasons, we will totally hate the idea of being famous. And like I also mentioned, a person only becomes famous based on what they have done or someone close to them has done. We don’t just become famous by being idle or bringing nothing to the table. But even when my family and I are famous, I’ll always strive to make sure that fame dies down so I won’t always be seeking validation from people or doing things based on what others think or might say. I enjoy my privacy and anything that can help me keep things that way, I’ll always try to do it. Thank you for reading through. 💜
