Creo que ya nadie discute a Max Verstappen, el piloto campeón vigente de la Fórmula Uno, lo demuestra en cada carrera y muchas veces contra todos los pronósticos, incluso ante vehículos de superiores prestaciones, mi abuela diría: "le saca jugo a las piedras".
Lo he dicho en reiteradas oportunidades y lo vuelvo a repetir, corre más que su vehículo y es una gran suerte para todos nosotros que somos simples espectadores, tenerlo en la parrilla y más aun tenemos la gran fortuna de que no cuenta con el monoplaza más competitivo porque en ese caso las carreras serían tan aburridas como las de MotoGP donde ya sabemos de antemano quien va a ganar y eso se repite casi desde el mismo comienzo del torneo, y donde Marc Marquez domina a voluntad. En el día sábado ganó aunque no quería, su hermano menor había dominado las prácticas y la clasificación y lideraba la carrera sprint sin mayores contratiempos hasta que se cayó solo. El domingo no se cayó y ganó, Marc Marquez se limitó a custodiarlo sin ninguna intención de pasarlo, además, si lo hubiera hecho, se habría consagrado campeón 7 carreras antes del final del torneo, un escándalo.

Volviendo a Max Verstappen, en el día de ayer se mostró dominante como casi nunca en este año y ganó prácticamente de punta a punta, solo cedió ese honor en el cambio de neumáticos y por pocas vueltas. Los McLaren no supieron o no pudieron y pareció que la estrategia no fue la mejor, ambos pilotos con los mismos compuestos y paradas cercanas, solo un error en la de Norris casi acaba con sus esperanzas de recortar algo la ventaja que le lleva Piastri pero su compañero es un caballero y le cedió la segunda posición minimizando un seguro problema. Si hay que ganar es con las armas correctas, al menos por ahora es así en la escudería con sede en Woking.
Pese a este gran triunfo del neerlandés, no hay demasiado lugar para emocionarse con un torneo luchado, la diferencia de puntos es tan grande y no con uno sino con los dos McLaren que prácticamente no hay lugar a discusión y uno de los dos pilotos de esta escudería se consagrará campeón al final de la temporada. A menos que, por supuesto, ocurra una hecatombe impensada.
No habrá lucha fuera del color papaya para determinar el campeón de este año y de ningún tipo en el campeonato de constructores donde McLaren ha sacado una ventaja también aquí, imposible de contrarrestar, 617 puntos contra 280 de Ferrari que marcha segundo, una verdadera paliza. Todos están esperanzados en los nuevos vehículos para el año próximo, esperemos, por el bien de la categoría, que vuelva la lucha.
Lamentablemente para las aspiraciones de todos los argentinos, Alpine confirma en cada carrera que este año es por lejos el peor equipo de la categoría y nuestro Franco Colapinto partió en el puesto 17 finalizando en la misma posición, innecesario el pedido de su equipo para que faltando 2 vueltas cediera la posición a Gasly, quien de esa manera finalizó por delante de nuestro compatriota cuando todo el fin de semana anduvo claramente por detrás.

Volviendo a la carrera y a los punteros, extraordinaria actuación de Verstappen, luego Norris y Piastri, el resto lejos como casi siempre y la competencia nuevamente bastante aburrida, aunque se corrió en el templo de la velocidad.
Creo no equivocarme si digo que Max Verstappen está situado en un pedestal muy alto, al cual muy pocos pilotos han tenido acceso en toda la historia de la categoría.

I don't think anyone can argue with Max Verstappen, the reigning Formula One champion. He proves it in every race, often against all odds, even against higher-performance vehicles. My grandmother would say, "He gets the most out of a rock."
I've said it repeatedly, and I'll say it again. He's faster than his car, and it's a great blessing for all of us mere spectators to have him on the grid. We're even more fortunate that he doesn't have the most competitive car, because then the races would be as boring as MotoGP, where we already know who's going to win, and that's been the case almost from the very beginning of the championship, and where Marc Márquez dominates at will. On Saturday, he won even though he didn't want to; his younger brother had dominated practice and qualifying and was leading the sprint race without any major setbacks until he crashed out. On Sunday, he didn't crash and won. Marc Márquez simply guarded him with no intention of passing him. Moreover, if he had, he would have been crowned champion seven races before the end of the season, a scandal.
Returning to Max Verstappen, yesterday he was dominant like almost never before this year and won practically from start to finish, only relinquishing that honor during the tire change and for a few laps. The McLarens didn't know how or couldn't, and it seemed the strategy wasn't the best, both drivers using the same compounds and making close pit stops. Only a mistake by Norris nearly ended his hopes of reducing Piastri's lead, but his teammate is a gentleman and gave him second place, minimizing a certain problem. If you have to win, you have to use the right tools, at least for now, that's the way it is for the Woking-based team.
Despite this great triumph for the Dutchman, there's little room for excitement in a close-fought championship. The points gap is so large, and not just between one but both McLarens, that there's practically no room for discussion, and one of the team's two drivers will be crowned champion at the end of the season. Unless, of course, an unthinkable catastrophe occurs.
There won't be any fight outside of the papaya-colored sky to determine this year's champion, and no fight of any kind in the constructors' championship, where McLaren has built up an impossible-to-overturn advantage here too: 617 points to Ferrari's 280, a real thrashing. Everyone is hoping for new cars for next year; let's hope, for the sake of the category, that the fight returns.
Unfortunately for the aspirations of all Argentinians, Alpine confirms in every race that this year it is by far the worst team in the category. Our Franco Colapinto started in 17th place, finishing in the same position. His team's request was unnecessary for him to cede the position to Gasly with two laps remaining, who thus finished ahead of our compatriot after being clearly behind all weekend.
Returning to the race and the leaders, Verstappen performed exceptionally, followed by Norris and Piastri. The rest were far behind, as almost always, and the competition was once again quite boring, despite the race being held in the temple of speed.
I don't think I'm wrong if I say that Max Verstappen is on a very high pedestal, one that very few drivers have ever achieved in the history of the category.
