Greetings everyone Hello, how are you, friends of the hive community, wherever you are? I hope you have good news. Thank you street Art community by @heroldius. Some time ago, I visited one of the government offices that handles the field of women's empowerment and child protection.
The address is on Siliwangi street, Sukabumi city, west Java. The office for women's empowerment and child protection is an old building left over from the Dutch Colonial era that is still standing strong.
I asked permission from the secretary and a few days later I came to meet the office guard. The mural is located in the side Hallway of the building, from the front to the back wall. The wall is the boundary between the owner's land and the adjacent land.
There are 30 painted wall areas, each area measuring approximately 1,3 meters wide and approximately 1,5 meters high. The mural was competed by junior high school and high school students.
One of the duties of the agency is the prevention and handling of violence against children as well as the protection and development of children. Therefore, the theme of the mural is in accordance with the duties it handles.
Such as prevention, violence against children and their protection. It is hoped that the future generation of children Will be more advanced and become the hope of the nation. The murals are themed around protection and violence against children.
Such as, ending violence at an early Age, child trafficing, child labour, child abuse, sexual violence, early marriage, bullying and child exploitation. Besides protecting and addressing violence against children.
The mural also depict children's rights, such as the right to play, the right to recreation. The right to access health care, the right to nutrition, and the right to receive love.
Children's rights to education are essential for children's pursuit of their dreams and their nation. I believe this is the message conveyed through the murals.
Thank you for your attention and support.
