"Hi" to Hive Community~~~

Hi all the lovely people in the Hive community 🐝

My name is Trang, but you can call me Sophia. I’m a 23-year-old girl from Vietnam - a small country that can be easily spotted on the map thanks to its iconic S shape 😉

I am planning to graduate from my university (my major is Korean language but I can speak English quite fluently as well) and enjoying a few doing-nothing-but-relaxing months before seeking a full-time job. I’m based in Nam Dinh City but now I’m living and studying in Hanoi - the capital of Vietnam.

Regarding some basic background information, as a single 23-year-old Vietnamese girl, I consider myself a typical introverted creature who feels safe being surrounded by family and close friends, but sometimes I prefer being totally immersed in nature on my own where I am free but safe at the same time. I suppose that this aspect of my characteristics nurtures my wanderlust and the thrill of discovery.

There are some (or many) miracle moments in which I happen to smile: the gleam of sunlight on the water makes a streak of twinkle, the evening sky is suffused with a reddish-orange hue or the deep green foliage is mixed with the blue sky and white puffy cloud when I look up, a gentle breeze kisses my face on a hot summer day… And then I realize: happiness is all around me, and you, and us so just stop for a second and you will see!

One day, I scrolled through my photo album and saw that the majority of the pictures I took are about the moments that made me happy, and I want to share them with you, too.

Why am I here? My friend recommended this community where people share their stories, experience and it inspired me a lot. Personally, I can save every beautiful memory so that at some point, when life gets hard, I can look back and recharge my soul. Sometimes, I look at the old photos to find another version of myself: the one who was fearless, did not overthink, and was brave enough to try new things without hesitation, loved herself unconditionally.

On the other hand, I am given a chance to write and express myself. Writing is something difficult but straightforward at the same time, and it’s always hard to start. I’ve told myself a thousand times “Let’s do it tomorrow” and then there would never be that “tomorrow” ‘cause all the hustle and bustle of the next day will blow away my “determination” to start, let alone to actually write. However, luckily, I think that I can start here. (actually, I’m doing it while typing this)

I consider this a commitment, I’ve made a promise to myself as well as many Hivers here, and I think I can get encouragement and inspiration to really start making a meaningful journey that I’ve been procrastinating for such a long time. It seems to be an opportune time for doing it. I’d love to have someone to follow me, wait for me, or accompany me through this journey. ‘Cause I believe that eventually, love is the most powerful strength freely and unlimitedly given to humans.

Before ending this very first post here, I want to express my gratitude to one of my besties @thu172 who introduced this wonderful community to me, who always inspires me to be positive and to do good things, who always shows me the beauty even in the smallest and the most superficial aspect of life. And another sincere thanks to @trangbaby, a person I’ve heard about a lot but still have no chance to meet in person 😊
