Hello everyone
I hope you’re all doing well. Today, I want to share a special DIY project I created in honor of Pakistan’s Independence Day, celebrated every year on 14th August. This day is deeply meaningful for every Pakistani, as it marks the historic moment in 1947 when our nation was born. It’s not just a holiday it’s a tribute to the countless sacrifices and unwavering determination that shaped our homeland.
On this day, the entire country comes alive with green and white. Streets are decorated with flags, houses are lit up, and patriotic songs fill the air. People wear badges, wave flags, and proudly display the national colors. This year, I decided to make my celebration a little more personal by creating a hand-drawn Pakistani flag. The picture above shows my drawing, a hand holding our beautiful flag, swaying as if in the wind.
Material used
A4 paper
Colors
Scale
Black pointer
The process
I began with a blank sheet and a clear vision to show the pride of holding our flag high.I draw the whole sketch on the paper starting from hands then the flag.
At beginning I also made this textbook to write 14 August but due to my bad writing i just cropped it off cause it was not looking good. After i made the sketch i traced it with a black pointer
After tracing it,I starting coloring the whole project.I colored the flag green and the hand skin to give it a refined look
I filled in the green field and drew the crescent and star which are the symbols of progress and guidance. The white part represents peace and the rights of minority communities, while the green honors the Muslim majority. As I worked on each detail, I felt a wave of patriotism and gratitude for the freedom we have today.
Final Look
Working on this little project gave me time to reflect on the meaning of independence. It reminded me that independence is not only about celebrating one day in the year but also about valuing our rights, contributing positively to our society, and protecting the unity of our nation. This activity was simple, but it felt powerful
It was a heartfelt celebration of Pakistan’s 78 years of independence. I encourage everyone to try something similar, whether it’s art, crafts, or decorations because creativity makes our celebrations even more personal and memorable.
Hope you guys liked my post. That's all from my side.
Take care
