The term "environment" is very broad and can refer to many things. It generally means the complex of circumstances and conditions that surround an organism or a group of organisms, or the set of physical and social conditions in which a person lives or works.
This can be broken down into different types:
Natural Environment: The living and non-living things that occur naturally on Earth, like ecosystems, climate, and biodiversity. This is what most people think of when they talk about "the environment."
Built Environment: The man-made surroundings that provide the setting for human activity, from cities and buildings to infrastructure like roads and dams.
Social Environment: The culture, relationships, and social institutions that surround and influence individuals and communities.
Technological Environment: The set of tools, machines, and technological systems that shape modern life.
